Imwald and poster chan actually have proper XMR zaps. Poster chan drops the "receipt" as an automated reply to the note being xapped. I haven't tested it on imwald yet but @nprofile…zz0e seemed to imply that she would just send it in a private banner similar to normal zap receipts. Idk if it would or even COULD use the same NIP or not.
That sucks. I get the anonymity part, but would be better if it was optin/opt out type of thing

OK yeah that's about how I feel. WoT feels to me like it fragments the social network, and if PoW could be required by non-follow notes, even a tiny one, and turned on by default in most clients, again, a tiny one, we could have a mostly spam free network. But that's messy at this point.
Ive even talked about attaching a small PoW inside kind 0 notes, since right now the way clients are fighting spam is blocking npubs known to spam. That could get a foot in the door for PoW for notes and would be very effective.

No I think the question is does it solve the spam issue. Unless I misunderstood. I'm of the opinion that it is the best solution to spam issues and curious wha tyou think.
I like PoW. I use it on Amethyst. But for it to be viable in mass like a WoT relay, you'd need all clients to support generation of PoW notes. A WoT relay solves spam without PoW. Essentially the work is being done on the relay to calculate the relationship.
If you force your computer to do a WoT instead of the relay and make that your price of admission... i guess that does count as a PoWoT

My Haven relay costs me zero. I run it at home. I run other relays that are essentially zero since they're on other boxes that have other purposes. WoT is expensive because it calculates WoT and gets slammed sometimes. It won't run on cheaper systems. The curse of having a popular relay.
And Ryan we need to get this down to 25¢

Funny story how it got made too. The director saw Unforgiven in film school and loved it. Years later he contacted WB & Eastwood to ask about a remake, expecting nothing. He got back a 3 word letter, 'Boss says yes'. I like to think it was Eastwood giving back for what he got in his early career.
