This is a great video documenting what I have been saying about the reciprocal relationship between genetics and culture. The culture around family formation changed, which then entirely rewired the genetics of the population. This then had further knock-on effects on the culture.
This is why culture and genetics cannot be cleanly treated as disassociated elements and why insisting certain people's just up and adopt certain cultural practices that their people have not organically developed by group development simply doesn't work, as simply ordaining change does not produce the full-population behavioral changes necessary to produce the desired result.
