Lost Creek Rudge part 3. The trail starts a ridiculously steep climb up the side of the ridge. The lower portion appears to have been logged at some point (photo 1). All the trees are the same size and the canopy is close and dense; almost no undergrowth. Photo 2: this is what old growth looks like: a few huge mature trees, many downed logs, and lots of seedlings growing in sun afforded by the gaps in the canopy.
