Yes, the problem is layers and protocols like coinjoins just split devs and users and there's too much to keep track of, and hence there's separate teams and some small in size that end up failing where others weren't even looking, while on monero all devs and all users only have to develop and worry about monero's only code, or separate implementations of the same thing like in rust, which creates room for even more security strategies I.e. differential fuzzing etc
liquid was a "L2", so being lazy about security just because "oh well it's just an L2 anyway" is going to make this keep happening, and affecting those passing by the layers even if "damn you should have moved to L1 in time, shit happens", monero's approach is being aggressive in its security **because** it's an L1 and cannot fail at all, it's not a playground for tech

depends what people want, if just tipping it shoud be called tips or something, zap was supposed to be a nostr published event so we all see in the network "Hey look Alice zapped Bob", to support actual zaps it needs something like xmrchat: https://xmrchat.com/xenu , that's for the receiver to prove though but maybe the sender's wallet could also support sending + creating a zap by itself and the receiver only needs the address on the payment target, but the sender needs a specific wallet or all wallets need to support the scheme, so the best way to implement it is the biggest challenge, it doesn't have a L2 and it is not needed but one may happen in a future development so that could copy how lightning works today if used
yeah, for lightning I'm not sure how can zaps be proven not fake but payments on the blockchain are much easier and only one sides needs to prove it and we all can verify forever
