Started measuring the @npub1f7n…m25c relay on the Civilization-al sovereignty scale. Super rudimentary right now, simply going off of all the posts and articles attached to the relay. Would love to see this evolve into an institutional balance sheet: measuring which capacities an institution is accumulating, whether they persist, and whether they increasingly operate without depending on one founder, platform, funder, or authority.
The idea is to track, target and compete on the plane of decentralized digital democracy and be able to see things grow on the cyberpunk frontier through multiple sovereignty-reinforcing angles and frame:
- Institutional balance: Is an organization productive but financially dependent? Culturally coherent but unable to build?
- Compounding: Does each month leave behind reusable systems, capital, knowledge, relationships, or trained people?
- Founder independence: Is capacity becoming distributed, or does everything still depend on one person?
- Strategic bottlenecks: Which lane is constraining the other three?
- Credibility: What has the institution actually contributed, with inspectable evidence?
- Federation fit: Which institutions possess complementary capacity and should cooperate?
- Capital routing: Where could a grant, investment, introduction, or contributor create the most durable improvement?
- Institutional memory: Why decisions were made, what worked, and what later proved less important than expected.
