One of the fun quirks of Nostr is that you never have any real proof a user has actually left, even if their account says it’s been “deleted.” Some clients will ban npubs with a delete flag from using them again, but there’s a fairly reliable way to reverse that. And as long as the nsec isn’t lost, someone can just lurk.
For example, @npub1ll9…xszt isn’t really deleted, because the profile has no deletion event, and even though the last visible post is from over a month ago, the user just updated their kind 0 profile metadata less than two days ago.
What this user didn’t realize is that they only changed the "display_name" field to “Deleted“ and not the alternate "displayName" field that was left behind by another client, so it’s trivially easy figure out who it is.

Bitcoin can fall hard even when its long-term case hasn’t changed. It trades around the clock, and its fixed supply can’t expand or contract to absorb shifts in demand. When investors want more cash during an uncertain stretch, price becomes the release valve.
That volatility can feel like a verdict. For someone pursuing FIRE over a period of years, though, a weekly drawdown and a broken investment thesis are different problems. FIRE depends on the gap between what you earn and spend, then consistently moving that excess into assets you expect to outpace your expenses. A bad month doesn’t erase that process, although it can expose an allocation you weren’t prepared to hold.
When bitcoin drops sharply, the first step is to check whether the reason you own it has changed. That means determining whether your time horizon has shortened, the fixed-supply thesis has weakened, or the position is too large for you to hold through a 30% drawdown. If those facts haven’t changed, reacting to price alone may do more damage to your FIRE plan than the volatility itself.
Keep directing excess savings according to the allocation you chose when the market was calm. If you can’t do that, adjust the allocation rather than pretending you can predict the next price move.

Not yet. As of now all messages get delivered via nostal relays, but we have big plans for FIPS mesh network support.
Right now it's still going through nostr relays, but eventually we'll have fips mesh network support as well. Then it will work over any transportation medium.
What do you mean by that? We already support your Noster follow list as your contact book, but don't have it for the native operating system contact book integration yet. I'm not quite sure how to do that.

We have not yet started work on invite links, but we have a couple plans on how to do that.
You can reject a DM or group invite in the UI. I have a couple ideas on how we can make it that nobody can send you an invite unless you want to. Kind of like Simple X. This will help a lot with spam requests.
We don't have subgroups yet, but this is pretty straightforward and we'll get to work on that soon.
We have basic moderation features like reporting messages and deleting them or removing users and blocking them. More work to be done. But the basics are here.
