When it's no longer legal to think freely, lol, the masses will come running. Nostr will be flooded, and I don't think we're too far away from this being a reality. People rarely go looking for a free place to speak until the one they had gets taken from them.
When this occurs, just remember those who have been here working on and through Nostr, the ones using it and participating in it every day. We are early, and at some point we will be the OGs. That will count for something, because whatever culture we've built by then is the one the new people walk into.
Much help will be needed in preventing attacks and spam on relays. Web of trust was right and still is.
In the meantime, do what you want here. Just remember that people matter more than the protocol. A protocol only moves messages around, and the reason any of us keep opening this thing is who's on the other end. I have many people here I literally call friends. Love this place.
