hot take potentially but i think people over exaggerate "privacy" and kyc. i think kyc and identity verification shouldn't be implemented where it doesn't need to, online and irl.
but some people have issues with every form of verification <--- this is ignorant
you need identity verification in many aspects such as airport security, stopping identity theft, fraud, etc. this is also why bitcoin is better than monero on a global financial scale.
perhaps the worst part of it all is just how our data is being used, not the actual collection of it.
im not telling you to stop using privacy tech n whatnot, its just that i see so many people larp being 100% against every form of it.

My subjective opinion is that the vibecoded UI is extremely "generic". The old UI had the social media feel to it, but now it looks ironically more cluttered than the old UI because now everything is extremely centered. The icons and fonts, layouts, and animations are textbook AI default code.

And thats exactly why we follow the early generations, 1. because the prophet told us to SAWS, 2. because they had the most sound aqeedah and had the most unity.
Once future generations started making stuff up about the deen, thats when all the firaq and deviation started to grow

Ahlul sunnah's logic is simple and i already said this
Affirm what Allah and his messenger have affirmed. When it comes to the foundations of the deen there is no qiyas or opinions or rational, the facts are stated and we follow the facts. Nothing is missing when it comes to the essentials. The logical foundation is the foundation of what has already been affirmed.
You're wrong when you say the sahaba weren't more or less righteous than others, they absolutely were because the prophet said "The best people are those of my generation ..." and the hadith goes on, bukhari 6429.
I also dont mean to insult you at all please dont take it the wrong way, but even hinting that major greek philosophers were muslim or that plato was a prophet is so ludicrous i cant even begin to entertain it. Just about every one you can think of was not a monotheist.
All aspects of tawheed, attributes of Allah, and essential fiqh have been layed out clearly and there is no qiyas when it comes to this. Kalam comes in and plays around with the very foundations of our deen.
I feel like this is gonna become a back and forth between us two, but if you want I can give you evidences that kalam is not fit for our deen (besides what ive already explained)

2026-08-22 18:59:11 UTC

Evidence for taraweeh is clear in the ahadith and just isnt referred to explicitly as "taraweeh", its referred as a prayer prayed at night during ramadan, which is just taraweeh.
Also if the sahabah, the people closest to the prophet of Allah, the people who Allah chose to be alongside and accompanying the rasool, aren't the best of people after the prophets then who is? The prophet said the best after him are his sahabah, the generation after them, and the generation after them.
In regards to aqeedah there can only be one true thing and only one logic can be correct.
The most truthful words are the words of Allah and his prophet, so in regards to aqeedah we only take from Allah and his prophet because they have made the aqeedah of the muslims abundantly clear. Whatever some random greek philosopher kafir says doesn't concern us. Aristotle was a kafir, greek philosophers were kuffar, why should we take from what kuffar thought and not what was directly revealed?

2026-08-22 17:26:08 UTC

- reply

First off taraweeh isn't an innovation and this is just a claim thrown around by the shia to demean the righteous sahaba. There's evidence to prove that the prophet encouraged taraweeh and who follows the prophet better than the sahaba?
Second its absolutely true that philosophy-indulged people such as the asharis take from artistotle in matters regarding to the deen thats why i mentioned it, they take from all sorts of ridiculous people but aristotle is just the grand example.
You also seem to misunderstand what i meant, i put rationality in quotes because it's NOT rational, things they claim to be rational go directly AGAINST the quran and this is provable.
Please also don't take any of this personally, keep in mind we are both brothers and I love you as my brother in Islam, I just request you keep an open mind here

Kalam and islam do not go hand in hand at all
It gets to a point where it starts inventing things about the deen and especially about Allah that are not true and rely on a chain of "rationality" as so they claim. An example of this would be the attributes of Allah such as istiwa'.
Many branches or firaq unironically take aristotle as evidences for aqeedah related matters, this is how stupid kalam goes. Our evidences are the quran and sunnah, not a greek philosopher. The more you take through philosophy and less through Allah and his prophet SAWS, that's when you start innovating.
“Beware of newly introduced matters, for every newly introduced matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance.” (Narrated by Abu Dawud, 4067)
"Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam as your way." 5:3

2026-08-21 23:46:23 UTC

man i dont wanna hear the word philosophy anywhere around anything related to the deen because its all just making stuff up and introducing things into the deen that hold no value
Allah said in surat al maidah that the deen is completed
our sources for the deen are the quran and the sunnah, and we take from the righteous salaf
philosophy and kalam does not belong in the deen of Allah

I knew how to code, but since AI started getting good at it I forgot a lot of what i knew
Now the motivation to code something is pretty much 0 because instead of it being a thing where i can enjoy the process and think and use my creativity, its turned more into a waiting game and thinking up a good prompt and hoping the ai will understand well enough
In other words, ive become less creative, not just in the coding factor, in pretty much everything
I used to rely on ai for things i didnt know, recently ive relied on ai for everything
Ai has diminished my creativity and my critical thinking skills
Dont over rely on ai #ai
