the entire top half of my board game library is dedicated to Project GIPF
On the floor is my tournament backgammon set. Not pictured: Cascadia, Radlands, Set, and traditional games like mahjong, hanafuda, cribbage, Poker, dominoes, Canasta, Bridge et al. (I have special hardware for cribbage, poker, canasta)

The process by which parties internally select candidates and bend primaries is something I don't think most normies pay much attention to. I mean, damn, most people don't even care about who their city commissioner or sheriff or judges are... Whether they have political bumper stickers or even attend political demonstrations... Even politicians must bend over for their party, vis a vis the party whip
Biggest thing the parties care about is making money, whether by grifting before elections or meeting with lobbyists, &c

That racist guy got madder at me for telling him that Japan is finished and it's not the immigrants fault, than any sjw has ever been mad at me on fediverse.

When a country is running itself into the ground blame immigrants / minorities, where have I seen this tactic before. So you think of Japan just kicks out all the recent immigrants (past 20 years) conditions will magically improve for young men? It's not going to happen - but you're attacking symptoms instead of causes.
Calling me names doesn't change anything. Japan is in decline and will never recover. Even if you killed off half the people living there. Japan bouncing back from Ww2 to become what it was in the late 80s was a little luck and a lot of meth. The miracle will not be repeated
BTW I am an immigrant and everyone in my city loves me and my businesses I created employ many natives 🤷

Japan doesn't even want - but NEEDS foreigners. Never heard about the huge influx of nepalis, camos, malays, flips lately? Anti islam signs are having to be posted. Anime+JAV works really well as bait for pulling in 3rd worlders to be slaves

2026-09-26 05:27:28 UTC

Japan manufactures weeaboos as a survival strategy. Anime and video games are used to brainwash foreign people to cross the ocean, work as white monkeys, and pair with Christmas cakes.
I feel really sorry for every victim of Japanophilia. People "learning Japanese" can feel the rope tightening around their neck but confuse it for an ornament. They see the English teaching job as a light at the end of the tunnel while they toil for computer science degrees their parents pressured them into getting. It is not the light at the end of the tunnel. It's the waning twilight before the eternal night.
So glad I dodged a bullet by moving to Indonesia, but feeling sorry still for all my friends who took the bait irt Japanese migration.
I don't know who needs to read this but you will always be a third class citizen in Japan even if you marry a local. You will basically be what a Blackman or jew is in white spaces. You will never be Japanese. Don't take the bait!
Right : poorly socialized, over educated "nerd"
Middle : anime, manga, video games, riichi mahjong, degenerate fetish porn, Pokémon etc
Left: late capitalist, crypto fascist nation in decay

Will there be some kind of web-of-trust feature so people can verify that another user is a "valid" user? I think WoT systems will be very important in the future of social networks. People can retain privacy while pseudonymous with WoT while it becomes very difficult for trolls, bots, foreign agents etc to slip in with WoT, this is the best tool we have against such things but I don't think any communities really use WoT aside from places like Lobste.rs that has a public tree of invites (very cool and useful)
If it's outside the scope of this project it would be a really cool future project for someone to work on. I've put a lot of thought into this issue

My first #fountainpen arrived along with a converter and 10 tubes of black ink. Apparently it is the "Jinhao A570".
$1.67 bundle and it feels a lot like a pilot G2 gel pen (my go to writing instrument) which is the same price... But this comes with 10 tubes of ink and a refillable tank for any fountain ink.
A huge step up from those Bic ballpoint pens and pretty comfortable to use so far. I'll need to do more writing to really decide whether fountain pens are better than modern gel pens. $1.67 for at least a year's worth of writing is still nice, and future refills being cheap and eco friendly is nice.
It isn't "feathering" the printer paper I'm trying it out on, so that's nice.
I'm interested in fountain pens because people say they are the best kind of pen to write with (low pressure/force, steady ink flow) and are also forever pens, which appeals to me.
Getting italic nibs with fancy colored inks also seems fun.
Later this week, I have a few more pens coming, maybe I'll write up a formal blog post about my adventures into nerdy pen world....

Interesting essay but a major criticism : individualism is very, very looked down upon in Indonesia, the champion of 3rd worldism (if we are going by the book).
Obligations (especially to parents and family, but also with neighbors, workplace, and country) are strongly imposed socially here.
People that break from their group's norms and duties are detested by the majority, even if they are not punished legally. The tallest nail gets hammered first. Individualism is despised in Indonesia even if socialism / communism is also despised, and the government, and mega corps are despised... To adhere to individualism, to selfishness, is to exile yourself from society and shut off your social opportunities.
This is a bit less true for exploitive business owners and corrupt government officials, the high caste types, but they are still taking their money primarily for the sake of their families and communities. And then the "dirty" money is primarily spent domestically, if not locally. So it's not like the wealth just disappears from the places where it accumulates.
Xog is a funny term and I think you're doing a good job demonstrate that jew hate is fighting holograms instead of tackling root causes. Just pitching in as a (white, formerly American) third worlder.

IT'S HAPPENING !
The hotel for #Pleromacon2026 has officially been booked from Friday, September 11-- Sunday, September 13 in Jakarta, Indonesia. We will have room to accommodate up to 80 guests (if people don't mind sharing rooms). There will be smoking and non smoking rooms. Ticket price is $30/person including meals and bus between the hotel and airport; $50 if you want your own room.
The venue has 3 conference rooms which gives us ~120 hours of usable time for presentations. The only talks scheduled so far are the keynote presentation, given by me and Lain, and something I'm cooking up called "Into the #indoverse : decentralized social networking in the third world." We could always fill empty time by streaming anime or movies. Bring your hard drives if you'd like to share anything!
Our hotel has not only a restaurant, but also a Cafe and not one but two bars, including a rooftop pool bar. What better way is there to relax than with a nice cold beer in the water. We will also be strategically located nearby some of the world's largest malls, in case you want to scratch that shopping itch.
If you plan on attending, please be mindful of local laws: consider that premarital sex is prohibited, homosexuality is prohibited, pornography is prohibited, promotion of communist ideology risks jail time, and there is death penalty for even small amounts of drugs including cannabis. Modest dress is encouraged but not required for women; Indonesia is largely Muslim.
Serious inquiries only to conference<at>pleroma.social.
* Crypto and PayPal accepted for ticket fees.

i think a good middle ground for letting people to have private discussions on fediverse is just allowing people to do PGP themselves or in 3rd party clients, with a "buyer beware" kind of scenario
building it into servers puts a lot more responsibility in the hands of server admins. and risk for abuse. i don't want my admin holding onto my private keys and i don't necessarily trust my server to generate keys for me either ...
people with the know-how to generate and manage their own keys can deal with the potential negatives and headaches associated with it. just running servers as they already exist is plenty of work for mastodon admins i would imagine

Fascists aren't radicals, but how can radicals "by definition" be opposed to free speech? I haven't read anything in Marx or other major left wing thinkers to support suppression of speech. Free speech is thought of more as a liberal virtue but I don't see it as being at odds with leftism. Historically it's very much the right wing that has a problem with free speech

Doesn't america have low crime because if you see someone doing crimes you can just shoot them? The exception is at schools because kids can't bring guns to school yet, that's why all the violence happens there.

But I guess some professionals use iMac computers. I heard they're good for making music and doing graphics. So it's not just windows, I misspoke. Windows is just for real work like selling cars and running prisons. What is Linux good for, downloading pictures of anime children to beat off to? Cuz it seems like that's the only thing you creeps use your computers for.

I have 4 or 5 meerschaums. They perform better than the briars I brought over but the cobs are still king.

That's where I buy my pipe tobacco!
I stay away from aromatics; less flavor + harder to dry. Sometimes I dry my tobacco in my food dehydrator lol. Pretty much had to retire my briars since moving out here, sadly. Corncobs still do okay when it's >95% humidity.
