my grandmother would have spelled it “tsuris” but yes that is the correct pronunciation, except you are supposed to raise your voice and your hands as though you are helpless at the horrors visited upon you by a cruel but sometimes funny world. “Tsuris doesn’t need any more ports!” I imagine her shouting.

Absolutely yes. All change takes effort and there hasn’t been a functional planning body between the University and the City since roughly 2004. The City now has a transportation planner on staff and we are gearing up for a mobility plan that could finally contemplate changes like this. No promises on outcomes but the gears are finally finally turning.

Back in the 90s I worked with beloved musician Chad Gilbert at a movie theater in Florida. We’d sweep popcorn and talk about music and movies. His first drummer Joe learned on my set before getting his own. Sadly we lost touch, we’ve led very different lives, but I was happy to see his success and the many others who saw how special he was. I am sorry we didn’t get more time with him. #ChadGilbert #music

I was able to watch the nature documentary “David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet” last night hoping for some beautiful nature visuals and I got that. The movie was made in 2020 and offers a nightmare future and then a more optimistic future of working with nature. Knowing the work of the next six years to maximize pollution and habitat loss and crack down on science made for grim viewing. Hopefully we get back on track with the positive vision. #climate #documentary #DavidAttenborough

the road was getting ripped up for five years (this seems long to me) so they needed to power down the wires. Based on learning they had five years of no power MBTA switched to diesel and the wires were removed. Agreed this feels backwards to me, not sure how this played out in Cambridge proper
