Jaime and Lauren discuss the bizarre case (and coverage) of the TIF murdered by her in-laws, the "lesbian bar" story, and the potential for parents to get settlements for their trans-identified kids brainwashed by social media.

Being anti-child-rights seems to involve having a non-extreme, non-woke opinion on all the hot-button issues: abortion, contraception, LGBTIQ+, gender identity ideology, gay men adopting babies, sexuality education in schools, disinformation, and even your opinion on immigration. Honestly it just seems like all the usual elite lib causes with a thick layer of “child rights” speak daubed on top of it.
That’s Eurochild, and they seem nuts as per. But the thing you need to know about the UN CRC is that the original text is not bad in and of itself. However, down through the years there have been various upgrades and addenda tacked onto it thanks to lobbying by various activists and in response to events and societal shifts.
And General comment number 20, which was added in 2015/2016, is all about that gendershite.
If the CRC and General comment number 20 are called into service in judicial decisions in Ireland, it might mean that a fight over puberty blockers will no longer be between a child and their parents and doctor; a judge could decide that the evolving capacities of an adolescent, their right to health, or their right to identity has been breached.

That's not the NB mascot. They/them are pictured in the thumbnail to this video.

Cults double down. If the league implodes, we know who they will blame.

Of course the only Canadian team has the first nonbinary mascot in the league, with horizontal lines on they/them’s chest, natch.

Shh, don’t tell the fans. I think some of them might lose their minds if they had to think about that.

Wouldn’t it be more honest to rename the WNBA the WWWNBA, where the second and third Ws stand for “wink, wink.”

I did ask about that, and she said she just knows SC is racist from her behaviour on the court. But it wouldn’t surprise me if Megan Rapinoe and her ilk in the women’s sports space were the source for that slur. The contempt was strong, and familiar.

I did not bite my tongue. I asked if she knew about the injuries and sexual harassment, and whether she thought it was fair for athletic girls to have to accept that they can't win at their sport if a boy is involved. I threw in something about the young women on Lia Thomas's team forced to be exposed to the sight of his penis in the locker room 18 times per week, and the punishment of young women who object. Of course she knew nothing about any of this, and kept repeating it's okay with her "as long as they've had their parts removed." Knew zero about self-ID rules and laws or physical advantages. She loves women's basketball and is convinced that Cunningham is the one who could ruin it.
Really, I despair about liberal women and how stupid they are (and want to remain). I like some of these women a lot, but it is hard to respect them.

When you’re catching up with a friend who follows women’s sports and she confidently tells you that Sophie Cunningham is a racist idiot who doesn’t care about girls and women and is making up shit for attention and publicity. Sigh. It was going nicely until then.

Well done. It’s a win when they assess you as not worth their time. Seems like you’re probably immune to being scapegoated, too.

The reality is, most gender ideologues who reinforced destructive social tactics will never change. Their behavior is primarily a mark of poor character—it just happens to be expressed through politics.
