From what I understand from past research is that the passkey entropy is less safe than adding entropy with 100 dice rolls. But it likely depends on the complexity of the passphrase. If you used a very hard passphrase then they would have to guess the hard passphrase as well (like cracking a password). So it should keep you secure. Please pile on if you have more/better info.
If the hacker knows the code/pattern/method used to create the entropy, it's easier to guess.
This stuff can happen with password managers as well. The plus side is that if you protect yourself up front by learning, then it gives you more time to move everything and change all your passwords.
We semi-recently learned this from LastPass's whole vault debacle. A third party got hacked (usually the case) and people's LastPass vaults are likely still being worked on by hackers to try and crack them. Because the information inside of the vault is a snapshot of all the data at the time of capture, you can't do anything except change it all. Hope everyone changed ALL their passwords from that hack, and stopped using any information that was captured (seed phrases, pass codes, 2FA backup keys) not just moved to a new password manager.

Learn how this stuff works. The bug has been fixed, the wallet will be fine again. Random number generation always has risk. It's possible these issues exist in other wallets, even exchange wallets. At least ColdCard lets you generate entropy above their code guided generation, a lot of wallets don't.
ColdCard suggests that users roll dice in the manual. @npub1rxy…hnp8 encouraged it and explained why it's important.

Bitcoiners gonna be learning a lot this year if they're serious. How to run a node and secure your personal network, how to secure wallets, how fiat will try to to infiltrate Bitcoin to protect itself, how to guard from $5 wrench attacks, etc.
If you knew enough, you know not to trust random number generators no matter who the source is. Adding entropy is always needed, thankfully ColdCard lets you do this, a lot of hardware wallets don't.
ColdCard assuming that the attackers aren't using better AI is pompous. (at a minimum they have knowledgeable prompters, that know what the ask). Still a great wallet, but HOW the RNG is generated is ALWAYS an concern.

If you're using OSMand for driving navigation, you can now use Roadstr for traffic reporting. It's a separate app, but can give you traffic notifications.
It's Nostr based, and can use a random Nostr key to keep you anonymous.

The slow coordinated move over time. I suspect only a few major bad actors behind the scenes and a crowd of willing idiots to do most of the work. The usual, when it comes to politics (politicians are sacrificial figureheads for those behind the scenes) or when dealing with those trying to corrupt good things that interfere with their fiat scams. We are up against the biggest enemies of hard money, don't underestimate them. Bitcoin is hard money, keep it that way.

Time frame is important. If you're just basing it on the last year, your time frame is wrong. Look at the full chart and you can see the trend. It does protect and once you Study Bitcoin (what it is, how it works, how money works, the history of money scams, etc) you start to see the cycles of manipulation. It's all to scam people out of their money (stored energy) in order to keep the scam system above water.

Been running mine for years. Very little cost, lots of transactions (mostly out, V4V and online stores). Now mining. Learned tons. Had many good peers drop due to node blow-ups and apathy. Smaller channels with friends/plebs are pretty easy and don't take a lot of capital. At one point I had a small group and we each had one main channel a different LSP, so payments rarely had issues.
If you're just sending basic zaps, just get a small LSP channel for cheap and zap away. No channel management really needed.
Being self sovereign is worth it.

Got energy integration setup in Home Assistant and integrated with the power providers smart meter via Zigbee (might as well make use of the forced spyware). Very cool to be able to track power usage as a whole. Ordered a few more power monitoring ThirdReality plugs so I can track a bunch of the major power draws (car, computers, heater ;)
Got a plug setup on our PHEV charger (Plug-in Hybrid) so we can track the overall power used when charging. Previously I just had a kill-a-watt setup, but now history and cost can be tracked more accurately.
This all reminded me that all the appliances we use give off their own power signature. So the power provided can tell if you're running a computer, heater, dishwasher, etc. just based on the signature of the power draw. Easier to do now with smart meters.

I've been looking into hash rate rentals more the past month or so. Interesting to see what Braiins is doing, hope to see a few other companies like @nprofile…k8r8 start to offer more. Currently their hash buying options are quite small 120 TH/s, but hopefully this will push more hash to markets like this.
