My own experience and the Bitcoin journey my happiness has been attached to the fluctuations of price which is obviously not the name of the game, not where I want to be. Absolutely delighted to see our young cacao trees shooting new leaves and growth having seen them in the very edge of death the last 2 months.
What I learned from this time of no rain is that the cacao trees that made it which is about 90% of the plantation are robust, very very strong and can withstand long periods without water. In a pure Darwinian basis, the survival of fittest, gives me great confidence the @nprofile…lg06 plantation is going to give abundantly.
All signs are positive!
We can’t wait to bring you the genesis block!! (2028 is realistic!)

Here we go… one of my finest works in this territory and @nprofile…s4h8 HQ is planting the magic grass… Vetiver!
Roots grow up to 6 metres deep, roughly 1m a year so it’s an absolute no brainer on inclined lands such as ours.
Where lands have been degraded due to cow farming and mono cropping, Vetiver provides quick action root growth and an insane amount of organic material to keep providing nutrition for the soil.
When planted in contour you basically start to capture and store every drop of rain on the mountain, zero run off, meaning no loss of top soil, it all backs up against the Vetiver.
I have spent the best part of 2 years planting out Vetiver across my land.
We have just come out of a very dry 6 months, hardly any rain. At the start of September it kind of started again but still doesn’t feel like a real rainy season yet. What I observed is my cacao plantation was about 80% successful in withstanding the drought, whereas my neighbour who does not have Vetiver and like me was not able to get water to the trees during this time, he lost closer to 90% of his trees planted at the same time. There’s some other factors involved in this too, like love, attention and care but for me this was a great signal that Vetiver plants water so deep that it helps the land become drought resistant.
It looks beautiful too!
Today I am harvesting from one of my original lines planted 2 years ago which is cool because now I don’t need to go out and buy more seeds, the system is supporting itself now, and I am planting around the house on the ridge to protect it from all the run off from the roof when it rains.
I love this life! I love this work!

So… I came for lunch and coffee before going back out in the sun for the afternoon shift. Delicious lunch it was!
I go to pay with my credit card. It doesn’t work! My bank have decided to block my card again, this has happened many times in the last months.
If in use my debit card my bank screws me hard, savage fees, more than the cost of the lunch.
So I booted up @nprofile…w709 , converted some sats into USD and paid into their Colombian bank account. Saved myself a lot of bank charges.
I note that strike doesn’t offer this service in many countries. I ask why?
This was so useful.

The shack that I inherited when I purchased the land 2.5 years ago is collapsing in on itself, the wood has rotted out. Literally the day after completing the build of my little home this old structure starts to tumble. Complicated by the fact the roof is full of asbestos.
So the forced move is up the mountain, closer to my home and with this stunning evening view.

Feeling blessed to live so closely with the original people of this territory!
I am always amazed by their strength, what they can physically do astounds me every time.
This is Juancho, a Kogui elder who comes down the mountain from time to time to earn some money to help buy things for his family.
He always comes with a huge smile and completes the work beyond what I thought was humanly possible.
To climb a palm tree like this in itself is a tough gig, but to then be able to hold yourself there whilst swinging the machete and cutting up to 25 palms is unreal.
I wish I could pay him in sats but I really don’t want to be the white man that thought he had something to save the indigenous with, they have been and continue to be just fine with how they have always lived. Us on the other hand have some things to looks at.

Coming on little by little!
The sacred space, Maloka, from where I will meditate, breathe good and sleep with a full belly!
Life keeps throwing me curve balls, I never thought this would take 6 weeks, but surrendering to events which I could not account for.
The mind wants to throw a wobbler, but really, what’s the rush, why create an internal stress about something that is not necessary?
Everything in its right time and space.
Bitcoin adds another level of teaching to life’s rhythms.
Time preference is always adjustable outward. And I’m getting better at being with that.
I want to be moved in now, I want to be sleeping on the land, I want to wake up to the sounds of the birds and be fully with her.
The wait at times feels like torture, maybe somewhat like waiting for BTC to do something positive, but it doesn’t work like that, life flows its own path, and if I get out of the way of myself everything feels so much better.

Week ends PoW update!
Wow! Building a home, even a tiny one like this is seriously hard work. Especially with no electricity and just a hand saw.
Nevertheless, the roof structure is coming on really nicely and we will potentially be moved in by the end of the week.
A very beautiful process, full of gratitude for this land that accepted me to live with her.
Gratitude for the life there, the peace, the serenity, the calmness, the constant breeze and light that pours into my life. And all the birds and monkeys and sounds of the forest! Wow it’s alive!
Never has a decision been so obvious!
Looking forward to a day of rest and then back to the mission early tomorrow morning!
