OSC is open sound control, used for sending simple commands to trigger lighting and video gear. NDI is networked cameras which allowed us some very far runs for the robo cameras.

@nprofile…05ue it took a long while of tinkering to get the gifs under 50mb for a minute of playback. Topically I try to keep them in the 40ish range. @nprofile…ax8n and @nprofile…znu8 just showed me .avif which look just as good for a fraction of the size

@nprofile…zv63 @nprofile…vfcp @nprofile…k8p7 @nprofile…cn7u i know I missed some others, but how difficult would it be to add .avif support for show/chapter art?

@nprofile…05ue I would import the show, generate a brand new rss feed thru podhome, and copy the new feed info into the one we self host. Instead of redirecting anything, the Podcast index would still list the self hosted feed. It’s an extra step when it comes to publishing weekly but I don’t think it would affect anything on y’all’s end.

@nprofile…05ue my apologies I should have clarified; there is a Podserve feed out there for BTS still, however the index is pointing to our self hosted version.

@nprofile…05ue Podserve didn’t support many of the newer tags, it was a way to add tags as needed. Both @nprofile…l7un and myself follow this method.
Yes, that would be a good middle ground for me. It wouldn’t be the case for all of them, maybe just BTS. I should get a list together to show you what I’m thinking of transferring over.

@nprofile…05ue I did have an additional ask, the ability to directly edit the feed is very valuable for me. I know I mentioned it before but quickly grabbing live items and pasting them into various feeds for rebroadcasting is something we do regularly. It's also an easy way to grab whole value blocks for building live event feeds. Would you consider adding a use at your own risk opt-in only way to add an direct edit interface?

@nprofile…05ue Sall good, appreciate it! Overall, it was a fun and easy night getting set up for the stream. One hiccup I can see is the 1400px art minimum. All of the BTS gifs for show art/chapters are 500px typically to allow for the extra long playback. Could you drop the minimum?

The interface for making clips looks interesting, will be checking that out for sure. Also the collab ability with teams is very appealing.

@nprofile…05ue the live value link for question 3. For this last concert, the person driving the splits was in Kansas City while the show took place in Minneapolis. The reason I ask about custom editing feeds is we quite often copy and paste live episode into the BTS feed for rebroadcasting special events.

@nprofile…05ue howdy, I was curious if podhome allows for direct edit capabilities to the rss feeds. I’m interested in migrating a handful of feeds over but a few of them feature experimental tags like the chat in the live items. In addition, how do the VTS work? Is there a spot to input a link from the split kit in? My last question is about video, currently all the skirmishes are hosted thru cloudflare, do you take video submissions as well? Thanks man o7

@nprofile…25h2 cloudflare might be useful for you, and you wouldn’t need to worry about storing videos so the costs should be fairly low.

Save my life I'm splitting down for the last time
With the Split Box, we will now be able to broadcast these splits thru a singular address inside of a feed. That means live wallet switchin is here for not only Fountain, but we've been testing with Strike, Cashapp, Misty Breeze, Alby Go, Zeus and we are cooking. These are the "Credit Splits" for the The Satellite Spotlight: Sprouting Symphonies.

@nprofile…h82d @nprofile…zpec @nprofile…7xwn @nprofile…pvn3 The Polar Embrace feed looks good, thank you!
There was one other thing I was hoping I could maybe get an opinion on.
I'd like to combine both the album version and video version for the past two skirmishes so they match how the Polar Embrace feed is.
Does it make sense to take the video version and recap for both shows, add them to the album version, and delete the feed where the video was pulled from?
