Bitcoin did what it was supposed to do. It worked and worked well. It showed why it is the only true free market human kind has ever known. However, BIP110 showed many vulnerabilities that are currently present and pointed out future problems that need to addressed.
1. Core I believe may have some bad actors involved .
2. If mining is centralized, then is Bitcoin truly decentralized? How do we protect against that?
3. Ossification of the base layer can and will become a problem in the future. It needs to be addressed.
Those are just 3 things that came to mind immediately. There was a messaging problem on the BIP110 side, but Core also did a poor job of communicating. The protocol held and did what it was supposed to do. But, we can't just go forward and pretend everything is good and Bitcoin is secure. There are potential problems that will make Bitcoin no better than gold in the future

Jack recorded a podcast with Natalie in Prauge before he went on stage and called out some prominent individuals in the BTC space for either being intentional or ignorant in what is going on at the base layer. Today he was informed that this podcast would not air, due to it not being a good fit for Natalie's audience.
Let the podcast air and let the audience decide if they want to listen or not. It does raise the question on whether or not this is intentional to protect names in bitcoin or is it ignorance to what the audience is able to decide for themselves?

I've been thinking greatly about a way to break away from measuring Bitcoin in dollars. It is clear to me that every time we associate bitcoin to dollars, our brains get pulled back into the broken fiat mindset. It is tough to not get excited or emotional about number go up or number go down when looking at the dollar measurement. The greatest and most scarce asset any individual has is Time. We need to start using time as the main metric we value bitcoin in.
After doing some quick calculations my time is worth 12,500 - 15,500sats per hour. I am awake. This number is based solely on the math of bitcoin, 21 million, 10min blocks in correlation to my schedule. That may seem like avery low value of my time, but when you take into consideration that if all 21 million bitcoin divided by the global population each individual would be worth 262,500 sats for their lifetime!
I am going to attempt to build an app calculator for people to play with.

2026-06-09 18:45:45 UTC

Question to everyone that has built a personal agent/agents. How long did it take for the agent to be 50-70% operationally functional? By functional i mean completing the tasks needed properly and promptly.

It is going to come down to timing. Much like "when the student is ready the teacher appears". This is a powerful tool, a new tool. I don't think any of us really know what it will become. But at the end of the day we all know this tool is needed. As a result of that, when the masses are ready the tool will be available. Like any good entrepreneur we are ahead of the need. We in the meantime need to lower our time preference and stay community minded.

IMO Nostr works too well. I am not a content creator so I don't use it in that manner. I am a casual observer and I post occasionally. I come to Nostr to see what is happening in bitcoin and the world. Sometimes I engage, but usually I just observe and then I put it down. There is no algorithm trying to suck my time and numb my mind. I love it! I can count on both hands the times I have spent on other platforms since coming here. Since coming here I have sent zaps or sats to people in Mexico, Venezuela, and supported an art studio. I would never get that experience on X or Facebook! It's not the platform that isn't attracting more users, it's low dopamine, brain dead people that are stuck in and on other platforms. They don't even realize they are stuck.

In the fiat world I whore my time out selling cnc machining services. At the current moment I am still a slave to this. It dawned on me that there may be a need here among the Nostr and Bitcoin community for custom machined components. Miner exhaust adaptors, shrouds, cooling manifolds, immersion tanks, plates, etc...
If anyone has a need for 1 off custom machining let me know. If needed I can help with engineering support/design.

@nprofile…e5yz one more thought came to me from this thread. This is why I enjoy Nostr so much. There is a feeling of community that is rooted in service to one another. I personally hate social media, simply for the fact that I don't want my overwhelming desire for recognition to dominate my life. I don't get that as much here as I have on other platforms. It still pops up, but I can recognize it and discard it faster on Nostr. Have a wonderful day!

2026-03-15 13:27:24 UTC

- reply

That is always difficult. It requires a great deal of reflection and self inventory. Generally I personally boil it down to the questions of "Am I doing this solely for my own personal benefit? Or, am I doing this for the benefit of others?" If I am truly honest about these questions, most of the time even when I do for others, the need for recognition still crops up. I can't seem to entirely shake that.
In regards to service of the Divine, I try and never say "no", to reasonable requests. Someone needs my help, I show up. Service to others is the ultimate service to God.
At the end of the day, as humans, we just want to feel useful to the people around us.

Saying you believe in God and actually believing in God are not the same. Saying you have faith and actually having faith are not the same. Believing in God is a 24/7 demonstration of selflessness and love. There is no room for ego in believing in God.
Having faith, is tiring. It is so much work. "Faith without works is dead." Faith is holding one's self to the highest standard of action, solely for the benefit of God. Not for the benefit of self. Self may reap rewards if faith is acted upon properly, but that is not the goal of having faith. The goal is to always be in service of the Divine regardless of the outcome.

Absolutely. I don't run my personal finances this way with a line of credit. Sounds like you're doing things the right way too. Live within your means and save what's left over. Unfortunately that way of living gets eroded over time by inflation. Thank God or Satoshi that we have bitcoin to protect against the money printer.

2026-02-26 23:33:52 UTC

- reply

It will be an interesting tool to see how Jack structures it. Percentage of interest, amortization schedule and such. A line of credit isn't like a loan. You only pay interest on what you use and it's not compound interest. That's why it's essential to know your monthly spend and income. If used properly you could have a nice opportunity to pay your bills, and stack sats. While not having to wait for the next paycheck to have access to liquidity. Every paycheck has to go back into the line of credit to keep your interest paid low.
People use HELOCs like this all the time. Look up Velocity Banking online or YouTube. Businesses do the same, they pull equity out of there business and use the line of credit to maximize cash flow.

2026-02-26 14:19:53 UTC

- reply

Once you pay those bills with your paycheck, you never have access to that money again. A line of credit is a cash flow tool. This tool won't work if you spend more than you earn. You will end up upside down and probably lose your bitcoin. If you live within your means, this tool is potentially very powerful and allows you to accumulate wealth faster while not being strapped for liquidity. Obviously the safest and most conservative way would be to get paid, pay your bills, buy bitcoin with what's left, and self-custody said bitcoin. However then you are potentially living paycheck to paycheck and not maximizing your DCA . I would strongly advise against a line of credit if you spend more than make.

I don't see how that changes just because I have credit on my bitcoin?
I would say that credit on my bitcoin is a possible tool if needed. I'm glad you and Strike make it available. But, ultimately saving, spending and earning strictly in bitcoin is the fastest way to end fiat. So,I am figuring out the best way to do all 3 as soon as possible. Earning in bitcoin is the most difficult at the moment.

@nprofile…tkhj just did more digging after my initial post. While they could theoretically create agents to run nodes and attempt to hijack the protocol, they still would have to over run the miners. Too expensive to do. The agents could cause a great deal of chaos , but it would be short lived. More than likely if you measure in fiat money the price for sure would drop during that time. But overall as a monetary and freedom protocol, no damage would be done!

As a result, in my mind the most fundamental protocol we interact with daily is Life. From what I can tell life is made up of physical, mental, and spiritual . Are those components of the protocol or layers of the protocol?
What is the base layer of the protocol of life?
Or, is the actual base layer consciousness and the other 3 are layers on top?

The 17th amendment pretty much destroyed state sovereignty. With senators being elected by a statewide popular vote, state government has no say in anything for the most part. Both houses now are elected to go to DC and look out for DC 1st, and then act like they are doing something by getting more federal dollars to come back to the state they represent. Originally congress was the representative of the people of the state, and senators were the representatives of the state itself. States no longer have a voice in the process
