all-in-one has advantages,
especially with data structures.
when you have different software trying to work with eachother and do extra stuff, they take up more disk space for example. because they can't trust eachother. can't benefit from having a monolithic storage and indexing. especially data pointers such as blockhash, txid, pubkeys, all repeat because they can't have some internal pointer or layout.
