I don't know why, but this evening I've been looking at solar panels, water pumps, micro-hydro power, wood fire stoves, etc. I think those of us who are able to not only supply ourselves with the basics, but also have a surplus to sell/bartar with will be in a better spot... even provide an affordable off-grid housing environment for those looking to escape the cities... like a Mandibles type situation. It's kinda weird... instead of being bummed and depressed, I'm almost excited about.
