Made some progress. It now comes in two color schemes, selected from old screenshots and a script to generate your own Sun Solaris wallpapers based on how they did it. Not happy with the nvim theming yet and I want to pick 2-3 wallpapers for each theme color that actually look decent on modern displays.

I solely rely on Starlink for 10 months so far and never had any issues. A storm a few weeks ago impacted it for a few minutes, 20% package loss. I've had much worse experience with cable and DSL but haven't had real fiber yet. I expect Starlink to be dual-use tech with military purposes next to the product sold to civilian customers though.
This was a great listen.

Prefer the CFR paint job but it’s 8K. 💸

New Grail launched today.
Already sold out.

I made a vintage CDE Solaris theme for Omarchy based on a set of screenshots from some neckbeard websites. For some reason I always loved that color scheme. Feels so nice to have this be applied system-wide without having to fiddle with anything.
Will land on Github soon.

My dad visited me all of last week until Sunday. He reminded me that I used to eat basically 2-3 different frozen goods most of the time when I was a stupid late teen/early adult. Cheapest of the cheap shit. Probably still slightly healthier than most of today’s goy slop but it was slop regardless.
Kinda proud that he recognized how I basically cook something quite decent almost every day now. Doesn’t even have to be complicated.

Haha, yeah. Smoked tofu, cut into tiny pieces, drowned in olive oil. On top are spicy marinated onions with garlic and chilli flakes. All surrounded by smashed potatoes with the same marinade on them but much crispier. That sausage was just some vegan sausage replacement I still had around so it landed on it as well.
Utter brainrot everywhere.

Everyone using any centralized service (Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc) that is not using client-side encryption (Proton, Tuta) is already sharing their contacts with some multinationals and advertising companies that use them to mine everyone’s data and create social graphs. I don’t see how contacts are all that personal when looking at how easily people let all these companies just grab a full take.
I looked into adding another level of encryption on top to basically “unseal” contacts using a 2nd password but it wouldn’t really be nostr-native anymore and it adds significantly more complexity to the codebase.
If you don’t want to use it, all good. I just don’t see the attack surface you described when using a random nostr identity that only resides within your password manager and you only.
If that were possible, we could just stop using nostr. It would require for secp256k1 elliptic curve cryptography to be fundamentally broken. (Or a client would have to issue many identities using a broken random number generator but that would still only weaken the keys of the affected users).
Just testing Linkahest Medium link transform support:

Thanks to whomever donated some XMR to me. I’ll just assume someone’s a happy user of either one of my apps or enjoyed a new wallpaper.
So you're a consultant? 🌚
For me that's often a sign of muscle memory & bad habits. Helps to move some timesinks into a dedicated folder on the homescreen. Grayscale can do wonders as well.
Thanks to the friendly nostrich who reached out and did a nice little trade with me over the weekend!

> American AI companies: I'm CEO, bitch!
> Also American AI companies: Regulate me pls or else no secure AI, ok?
Has anyone ever received or seen a post by this digit dude that was just... nice?
I second this. Openclaw is trash.
Shipped a new release of Hessible just now.
Comes with some quality of life optimizations in relay connection handling to improve startup and sync. Also ships with updated default relays and blossom servers (updates do not impact existing relay configs) for new users.
If you are an early adopter and used one of the very first releases and installed via Zapstore, you may have to delete and reinstall. I mistakenly pushed pre-release debug builds that were signed with a non-production key. I’m sorry for the trouble.
I was also faced with this issue and had to reinstall: Contacts were back immediately after authenticating. It was so fast I just removed the “implement sync status throbber” todo from my list. 😌

@npub10r8…t2p8 is already live: https://zapstore.dev/apps/com.circumspace.contactstr
Bumped Linkahest by two patch versions and shipped a new release. The icon previously sometimes was rendered squarely and looked upscaled and pixelated.
The latest release also features some automated tests of core functionality during build of new releases.
Check it out, refresh your Obtainium or open @npub10r8…t2p8.

Some developers use different code signing certificates for different stores so I wouldn’t mix install sources.
The sovereign pasta sauce protocol:
Olive oil + sea salt (both from @npub1ahc…nrpc) + honey (some Bitcoiner selling on Satoshis Kleinanzeigen) + tomatoes + garlic + swiss chard + basil (all fresh from my own garden)

Loved that show as well but probably won’t rewatch it (which I rarely do), though I didn’t really think Lena Heady’s performance as SC worked that well.
It’s a common theory among AI doomers that a malicious AI would just rid itself of us using a combination of nanotech + genetically targeted bioweapons to keep around some dumbed down slaves bread to maintain the stuff robots can’t do yet.
My theory is a different one: Rogue AI is just the scapegoat for DARPA/WEF/cabal to pull off their culling operation. That’s why we’re seeing all that theatre about evil models scheming, attacking other AI companies and all that talk of the Antichrist and rushed rollout of digital ID systems.
Seems like it’s all just setting the stage for a grand finale.
I don’t use contacts all too often on my tablet but when I tested this before the initial release, sync was almost realtime between devices.
Not sure I understand what you mean by journal backup.
It’s NIP-44. Didn’t see a reason to opt for a new NIP. Happy to discuss changing that if it means better inter-op.
I stumbled upon this German Melodic Death Metal album by accident because the dude behind it seemed nice on Instagram. Seems he worked about 15 years on this release and finally shipped it.
Solid stuff, well produced. I dig it.
It’s on Gruv as well, if you prefer nostr-native music streaming.

I'm also on the Claude Team Premium plan and can always fall back to @nprofile…4u96 on opencode. It's just become really frustrating to work with ChatGPT. Guess it's time to cancel that plan and bump my spend on PPQ. The Chinese models are either close or sometimes better but I dumped a lot of memory for some of my stuff on ChatGPT and this just never happened until about a week ago. I had multiple sessions in parallel on opencode using their legit headless oauth, worked on issues, PRs, CI, planned features and now I'm hitting limits from a one session conversation with 5.6 on Medium with a complexity that Grok/Deepseek free tiers do without complaints.
My suspicion is that their credits accounting has been built with AI and they don't understand how it even works anymore.
Guess I'll do without them starting next month.
For many it’s just noise.
> It’s like opera. You need to develop an ear for it.
Mayhem - Crystalized Pain In Deconstruction
Yeah, invidious instances have been flaky for a while. Should just drop YT links and be done with it.
ChatGPT isn’t really fun anymore. These limits are just completely arbitrary by now.
I know I just skip through the limits 3x on this subscription but that won’t get me through a week. I’m already down to 5.6 Sol, switching between Mid-to-High now and it’s still a mess.
I used to run 5-6 different projects on opencode without ever hitting any limits until just a few weeks ago.

Interesting how it correlates with all US AI companies calling for "slowing down development" at the same time.

Love how each of these shots are strong proof for the Sun being local. Also looks amazing.
I looked that up yesterday. Badgers are part of Mustelidae (had to look up that writing again though) so they’re related to otters for example. Raccoons are their own species named Procyon (remembered that one).
My @nprofile…wywf drafts are empty. wtf. Seems the only client reliably storing unpublished notes as draft butchered it.

Not gonna argue with any of that. Also touch grass and expose yourself to the sun.
Here’s the full study to read: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2506.08872
tl;dr: If you write your essay with AI assistance you’re gonna identify less with the authored text and can’t quote it as much.
In the end it’ll always come down to how you’re going to use a tool.
I fail to see how you can end up with attached render of brain activity using the EEG data provided by the study though. Consider it more of an illustration than derived from data.

Just a song I had to think of after reading this phrase you used.
