"content": "\"It's a crowded hike but there's room to spread out.\" That's what I told myself last Saturday. Mt Baker (Komo Kulshan) is one of the prettiest places in the Washington Cascades, and you can't get a better view of it than from here. Ptarmigan Ridge runs between Mt Baker and its neighbor, Mt Shuksan, and is accessed by a road that runs to the adjacent ski area. It's fairly unique in that the whole hike is at or above the tree line.
