Or what privacy oriented DNS can you guys recommend?

⚡️‼ NEW - Mullvad is shutting down its public encrypted DNS service on November 2, 2026.

The service has been running since 2022, but Mullvad says it’s no longer as useful for its VPN users because their DNS requests are already handled through Mullvad’s VPN infrastructure.

Mullvad is putting its support behind Quad9, a privacy-focused nonprofit DNS provider that also blocks known malicious websites.
