once i get this nonsense sorted out and my passport back and take the necessary 2 more weeks to get minimal bone fixation so i can be somewhat mobile (on crutches, minimally, and in a wheelchair for long runs such as border crossings and airports) i need to get the money together for a 2 or 3 months $11000 medical emergency insurance and ticket to fly to batumi, where i can stay more or less indefinitely on my passport, so long as i have that insurance. ironic. i know. and i was even in tbilisi for 3 weeks a couple months back.
first obstacle is to get my damn passport back. after that, i negotiate with more cool heads in the administration of this place to have a payment plan for the next two months, and also, to be charged the actual price that a local citizen would be charged for this service, not some puffed up shit. well, whatever. they can't get a court order against non-payment until 3 months anyway, idk what they think they are playing at. the ambassador here in almaty is seeming to be playing dumb about this too, and i've told him that i will contact the central office of the embassy about the matter if he won't tell the police to tell him to give me my passport back. it's dutch property, not mine, it cannot be used as a zalog against my paying a bill, which i can't pay, which is way inflated, without a proper legal process of debt reclamation against which i am not even overdue on paying yet.
