I followed Highway 410, which will be closed for the winter in a few weeks, right on over the Cascades to the tiny town of Tieton, which has been settled by a number of well known contemporary artists, kind of like Marfa, Texas (to which it likes to compare itself). Despite this, it's still an apple packing town at heart and most of the population are Latino farm workers. 2/7
