Maybe @nprofile…cr99 is the first book ever to have a cinematic trailer...?

blaming a whole gender is fucking ragebait lol
I’m pretty sure that rock music is back. Not another nu-metal wave, not punk rock, but rock. And what’s really cool about it, is that women seem to be carrying that flag.
The Pretty Reckless and Halestorm are consistently writing true rock songs for years now.
btw, two pretty big Czech singers (Lenny, Eva Buresova) who did bubblegum pop for many years are now switching to rock/core, basically saying - I ain’t gonna let labels dictate shit to me anymore.

yes, I kept the services (design, branding, production) but switched the audience and clients for bitcoiners.

Just like that, Metallica poster right there on the street. So simple.. I love it! 🤘🏻💀

20 years since Nelly Furtado‘s Loose. I remember the release quite well as it set a blueprint for the new pop sound after the Britney and Christina era. Loose was made of massive hits, but I never heard anyone praising the opening song, which is my personal favorite.

Time to become morally ambitious
Most working people can be put into one of three categories, from idealistic yet unambitious to greedy and immoral. But there is another option …

Official CZ Ecumenical Translation.
Btw this book goes really well with the Bible itself. Each verse is commented on with a few sentences explaining its historical and cultural background. It changed the way I read the New Testament.

There’s a great alternative to Adobe products called Affinity. I switched 5 years ago and I’m very comfortable with it, use it for both digital and print graphics. Crazy thing it’s actually free...

What’s your beef with gradients? 😂
you go Munk, I’m a fan 🤘🏻💀
Incredible musicians indeed 🤘🏻 Will Calhoun was a key influence when I started drumming (not that I ever came close). But they’re all so unique, even to this day.
Very cool! I saw LC like 5 times, also Head Fake and Jungle Funk.. some of the best live music experiences.
could be @nprofile…w5me ’s jam 🥁
September is here 🤘🏻 One of the weirdest and coolest songs I ever heard.
Jungle Funk is a spinoff of Living Colour, legendary rock band from the 80s, but it sounds like an awesome alien music.

Dr. Dre Says the Only People Who See AI as a Threat Are Those ‘Who Have Trouble Creating’

I think it was trying to be more psychological than horror. OK, I can play (and I did love those last few seconds), but if that‘s the case, give me more than like15 minutes of solid drama.
One interesting thing.. A friend told me earlier that it has “millennial vibe”. Didn‘t know what he meant by that, but man it was really in there. Not in the filmmaking or the plot, but somewhere in between the lines..
Great note on the story and origins of @nprofile…cr99 🌒 🚀

How about partnering with some BTC content creators, YouTubers, or publicists to make a collab video about Hope? It would add another layer of legitimacy and push the project to a new audience.
if you’re a fan, I recommend this awesome book full of stories and photos.

Hope you’ll find a way that works for you 🖤
isn’t going to therapy basically just dealing with it is what it is?
Brian Cox. love the dude

congratulations you broke the matrix
😌
🙏
I just remembered a cool thought shared with me by an artist I respect very much. It goes:
“Coldplay are for people who don’t get Radiohead.”
I would respect him even more if he weren’t a Radiohead fan, but I let that one slide :)
...and since we’re already in it, do you have ten minutes to talk about decentralized tech? 😂
a part of branding is setting you apart from your generic competitors. yet the vast majority of marketers and brand people worship the same five people and the same five books, attend the same conferences, and listen to the same pods. it’s no wonder medium and large brands feel so flat today.
it’s similar with hiring. they want fresh ideas, but they’re not ready for the occasional dirt that comes with trying them out.
crazy crazy world am I right
right, those “you’re so cool to contact us and we received your application and we see you and we’ll be in touch in no time” emails would be very appreciated if they didn’t stink of AI so badly :)
agreed, it’s definitely a field-dependent thing. the more the job is about communication, presentation, PR, people skills, and stuff like that, the harder they want you to linkedIn.
same here, website url instead. one time I think I even pasted my npub there, just to mix things up a little :))
Where’s your socially approved side hustle dude? Where are your ten thousand subscribers to tell them you got this bullshit job? Fucking denied bro 😁
aah I’m sorry, my bad :)) well great, that’s cool!
I respect that. I’m not explaining myself or elaborating on the topic either, and funny thing - they never ask why I don’t do social media.
Man, I must confess sometimes I miss the old fashioned office drama, it feels like watching a reality show, and if you can manage to keep yourself out of it, it’s not that hard to watch it from the sidelines with some popcorn in your hand :)
well at least we are aware of the fact that this is weird. I’m more concerned about all the young people who are being led right into it as if that’s the normal and correct thing to do.
although gen Z has done some impressive work when it comes to not letting the suits dictate bullshit to them, but still..
"I'm a mid level analyst with little ambition and I definitely don't over think things and rock the boat 😁" is actually pretty bold for linkedin culture! 😁
Sorry about the rejections, I hope you’ll land something good soon.
What kind of job are you looking for?
I’m checking out fiat work opportunities on a regular basis, and sometimes I even apply for the gig. Let’s call it my guilty pleasure, keeping an eye on the overall market situation.
What worries me about the application process is that social media presence (esp linkedin) carries some serious weight. Sometimes even more than the portfolio itself. In other words, when I’m asked about it and say that I don’t do social media, eyebrows are raised, and it kinda feels like I’m instantly being red flagged.
(I even saw a few job application forms that had a mandatory linkedin URL field.)
What’s also weird is that most business/market people I know, some of them in pretty high places, they go - sure, linkedin is one big fake and bizarre space, but for the sake of biz, I can’t afford not to be there.
And note that this isn’t some ad and marketing thing, it’s purely personal branding issue, and in terms of social media culture, building your personal brand is therefore actually pretty limited, because you need to fit into that culture.
Add in using a nickname and a bandana portrait and I’m a no go even for “young and progressive” collectives.
And by the way, the exact same goes for most of bitcoin companies I tried to reach out to, too.
That’s messed up, right? It’s not just in my head…? 🤯
oh this one is really good. takes me back to high school 🤘🏻
