Mostly anons. The first one that came up was…ick.
Now that I can see what people are deleting, all I can say is that some of y’all seem like pretty sick fucks.

I have read that "Tumblr" is actually in the original font readable as "tumb1r", or as one would say "tumbONER", and they just changed it once serious investors started peering in. Can't unsee it now. Can't blame them for selling out either, would probably do the same.
Colleague: oh, you have a nice workflow for converting videos to high quality gifs, where did you learn that?
Me, having trodden the paths of gif creation since the time I first stumbled upon porn videos and wanted to post them on tumblr (back in the days when they actually supported that): oh, you know, fucking clankers man, you just need the right gist to ask them man...
Engraved something personal for a buddy of mine at work. Hope it will help him get lucky tonight. #ThoughtsAndPrayers
Ooh, so humanity will be first at something!
I have not deleted my Nostr today.

Gold’s physicality creates a tradeoff that’s easy to miss. You can hold the metal yourself, but sending value over distance is slow, expensive, and difficult to verify. Make gold convenient to transact, and you usually introduce a custodian.
The custodian stores the metal while people trade claims against it. That solves the transport problem, but now your money depends on someone else holding the gold, honoring the claim, and allowing the transfer. The asset may be scarce while the payment system still carries counterparty risk.
Bitcoin takes a different route. Because it’s digitally native, you can transfer the asset itself across a communications network without shipping a physical object or substituting a custodian’s IOU. That doesn’t make every bitcoin transaction instant, free, or riskless. Self-custody creates a different responsibility: protecting your keys.
When you compare monetary assets, start with the settlement path. Does the transaction move the asset itself, or does it move a claim that someone else must honor? That one distinction tells you a lot about the trust, friction, and control built into the money—and whether it supports the self-ownership your financial independence plan is supposed to create.
Having to remind myself about budget grates. Like I know I could do other things, but it would mean commuting, which is bad for the family and the rest of the team. I know we could do a lot of other things but it would mean leaving folks behind, and based on how much that hurt last time, when it was only one person, this would be a magnitude or two worse. And I know I am not in a bad position, being able to afford a house, private school for both kids etc. Still, oscillating between how other equally capable folks are able to earn much more due to being located elsewhere, or how I should be able to better leverage my freedom as an entrepreneur, yet still coming short on both accounts, wears me down. Is this ADHD, adulthood with imposter syndrome, or do I just suck?
Had quite a good visit from my brother and his family. We aren't particularly close, not like distant either, just enough to know about each other and not too much in common to share. Especially with his approach to relationships and his wife. She is fine, just operating on a whole different plane than us. Like louder, emotionally deeply invested in anything and quite black & white, which goes a little against the grain for our easy going leaf-in-the-wind one. Actually our kids planned this for them to meet and this was just a side effect. Still nice, will do again.
Pretty jealous because my nearest location appears to be 400 miles away.
Canadians don’t qualify either. You’re basically second class New Yorkers.
Cheers, I’ll be sure to spend it in a Mamdani supermarket.
Nope, I got no such email. @nprofile…rlhf hates everyone in my state.
Did you get a notification or something, because I don’t see this offer.
When you have a two digit IQ, every type of intelligence seems superior.
I want to earn bitcoin buying bitcoin.
I’m not as optimistic as I once was about bitcoin ever becoming a daily currency. I just don’t think most people are responsible enough to secure it, or protect themselves from being scammed. Call me jaded, but I’ve seen too much.
I dislike them, but that seems to be the math.
I grew up with a Hotpoint so literally anything‘s an upgrade.
That's one of the cheap models! If I want anything larger I’ll need to renovate my enitre kitchen. And if I do that, there will also be signs.
McDonald’s Thousand Dollar Menu deals LFG!
It’s a work of art, though.
The 60" version is $25K. (Way too big for where I live…)
Some people want Lambos. I just want a Thermador. You can’t cook dinner for your family in a sports car.

Somewhere in my brain, lunch sill costs $5. Somehow during my adulthood it became $25. Does that mean my kids will pay $125 when they’re adults? This seems pretty unsustainable.
You are correct, he ran a porn website. His claim to fame was getting Roger Ver to rage quit an interview. Now he takes gobs of money from Tether and builds useless products nobody cares about, and thinks insulting people is the same thing as brand marketing.

The same house can sell for far more in New York City than in an Oklahoma cul-de-sac. It didn't change. The buyer's context did.
That simple example breaks the idea that value lives inside an asset. When people say an asset has "intrinsic value," they usually mean it has utility they recognize. Real estate provides shelter, gold has industrial uses, and a business can produce cash flow. None of those uses creates one objective value for every person in every place.
A discounted cash flow analysis doesn't uncover a permanent value hidden inside a stock. It estimates future cash flows under a set of assumptions. Change them, and the answer changes. The market can disagree anyway.
Every financial asset is a bet on future demand. Bitcoin is no exception. Its utility comes from an absolutely fixed supply, the ability to transfer value globally, and sovereign control through private keys without counterparty risk.
The useful question isn't whether bitcoin has intrinsic value. It's whether its utility fits the job you need an asset to do. Separate utility from market price, and you can compare bitcoin with stocks, gold, and real estate by the role each plays in your FIRE plan—not a label none can satisfy.

We made it intentionally hard to do this in Wisp, BTW. Definitely use Primal for that. 😏

still a bit of a work in progress, but i am out of time and have to rush towards to conference (could only vibe this at the last moment....token budgets amiright)
I made a workshop client!
- It has a slideshow (only Dutch version for now) for the introduction into Nostr.
- has like 60 something ''tasks'' people can perform on Nostr, from the basic things like posting to the ''other stuff'' niche things.
- the point is not so much for everyone to perform every task, but just have enough there so they can go around and learn a bunch of things to get familiar with Nostr.
- supposedly you get a badge if you complete a category of tasks, but who knows, not as if this is tested.
- You start a workshop session by just giving it a title; participants can then do a kind1 post of a text blurp they can get by scanning a QR code (the post just needs a npub reference to the workshop, and the hashtag of the particular session)
- the workshop app then tracks the progress of each participant and has this leaderboard and stuff.
- includes a pretty big index of all sorts of Nostr clients, and which one can be used for what task.
Only posting this so i have a way to fetch the link to the nsite when i arrive in Arnhem :P

I bet this does wonders to dispel the myth that all AI companies are run by fascists.

Well that’s pretty fucking gay of you, LMAO.
Your top dog is the ringleader and you’re so brainwashed by his cult that you can’t even see it. Sad!
You made your bed, now lie in it.
