Since your my only nicotine pouch buddy out here, i hope you don't mind enquiring a bit about them. I recently reverted to the OG snus (ground tabacco pouches) and noticed two major changes in me:
1. My sweatting is mild and doesn't stink anymore. I thought it might have been age that rendered me sweaty af and intollerant of my own odor. But it seems not.
2. I am consuming the same amount of nicotine, but i have intense widthdrawal effects. It feels like a depression, but when a casually tasted a flavoured nikotine pouch of a friend, the relief i felt was tremendous. (and the sweating restarted quasi immediately)
are you noticing anything weird like this? Needless to say, i'm riding this out and will avoid these pouches to the best of my ability moving forward. Snus tastes like shit, so i'm planning to use it to steer me to total arrest. If i have to feel miserable it might as well serve a purpose.
for me it had the opposite effect: it highlighted how all the other clients are just silently accepting to auth, which seems even worse from a provacy perspective. I deny all and added exceptions for my own relays in the amethyst settings.
I feel like the real question is why so many relays want us to authenticate juat to read notes that are publicly available on at least 3 other relays.
Ok, good to know, thanks for clarifying. It was a very early version of Armada, i'm sure that oughta be resolved by now. That means my only remaining issue with the decentralization argument in the concord vs. nip29 debate is that i haven't found an app that allows me to use my own infra for concord, instead of the app's defaults. Haven't played around with Amethyst implementation yet though.

granted, and nip29 offers the infra needed to solve it socially: three admins, with three backups in three different locations on different mediums. E2EE wpould be cool to have though!
Well, i tried to delete a concord i was the owner of and it worked: everyone in it lost every message, reaction they'd ever shared with the group except of course what matters: the friends they made along the way. Which is inherent to nostr itself.

Genuine question i ask beacause my nip29 server is governed by 3 ssh keys, and groups on it can be ported to another nip29 server, that includes the signed plaintext events. (Which... no one will likely ever read again. Chats in general are poor knowledge bases)
Sure thing. I have good hopes for multisig and in far more places of nostr than group chats. my point in case remains: decentralization is not the advantage of concord over nip29. e2ee definitely is though, but that's also unnecessary in 99.8% of group chats.
either way, i think you're doing a fantastic job with concord. Nip29 too!
Concord makes a few assumptions too. If the owner-key misbehaves you're fucked, regardless of what server it is on. Having ran xmpp cand matrix, i find the trade off of nip29 very handy. Essentially, the server administration can be collaborative in all the meaningful ways for group governance.

It's both real and magic. I built them for real, with carton, adhesive tape and markers. I performed with them for real back when i couldn't afford hardware synths. A laptop suck on stage, so i created these for the show. The sound i sorted like any given DJ would: by waving my arms :D (back track)
Now i use special-purpose devices for my music, with actual buttons that i perform on too! Sadly almost all of them have proprietary firmware. But we have gone near full circle now: a single-board computer running linux-synths and a hardware controller are neither expensive or hard to put together! Getting there eventually :)

Primal is cool. The client may be so so, but the infra is fantastic: a blossom, a relay, and a custom app! The trinty of community organizing! They even build exit ramps from twatter and instaface right into that ecosystem! And if you don't like the terms, you can just nostr yourself through them, while keeping all the friends you made along thw way!

In my tests, i've also noticed amethyst will silently fails to mirror files when using the mirroring button in the media file browser.

thanks for reaching out! When the error happens, it happens with all blossoms. It's like amethyst doesn't like some files for no particular reason. But any other client will happily oblige with the files amethyst bugs out on.

#amethyst 3 out of 4 times when i try to upload a file i get this:
