Germany's finance ministry has drafted a plan to end the one-year tax exemption on bitcoin.
Under the draft, coins bought after Dec 31, 2026 would pay a flat 25% tax however long you hold. Earlier buys keep today's rules.

Paying almost exactly €1000/year for electricity for a family of 4-6 adults (depending upon who is currently living with us).
Solar panels are barely worth it, at that rate, but definitely worth it if we add air conditioning and an e-auto. 🤔

There are so many Nostr apps out there, I even vibe coded my own. But at the end of the day there is only one I trust with my account settings and that is Amethyst. That one reliably has never screwed up my settings, username trick, etc. So whenever I tweak settings I tend to do it there.
