I vaguely understood this. When you say round trip accuracy, you talking about translating to and back from a language yielding non-matching outputs (some lost in translation thing I've heard about with LLMs)? And you propose to improve this error by flagging round trip errors and introducing new nodes?
Attention to detail will save you.

I've seen so many brilliant work in github but it fell short to target their audience!
So many amazing ideas but often the way they package what the software does is focus on the "what" instead of the "why"...
I hear people would say but this is for x and for y. If you want your app to be adopted, you need to speak to their pain points (the problem your app is solving)!
But if you think the "what" is good enough then expect less people to take notice.
If your app is built only for you then no need to answer the "why".
Enjoy your Sat ☺️👌
Omfg 🫥 i wish everyone would stop putting spammy public relays at the center of the experience. Until free & public means boring & heavily moderated, this is going to keep happening.
Beware of people selling things you don't understand
I'm happy it works now!

Good read on anyone thinking about getting into the business
I'll stop now. Apologies.
Bonus, a different flavor: f(n) = (sum of 4th powers of the digits + 274) mod 10000 has a unique fixed point, 8067. Check: 8⁴ + 0⁴ + 6⁴ + 7⁴ = 7793, and 7793 + 274 = 8067. Every input reaches it, in at most 55 steps.

Another one. This time not employing the ascending and descending thing.
Algorithm: f(n) = |n − reverse(n)| + 8, treating n as 4 digits with leading zeros.
- Every input converges to 8000. There are no other cycles, and no input ever exceeds 9999, so no mod is needed.
- Fixed point: 8000. Check: reverse(8000) = 0008, so 8000 − 8 = 7992, and 7992 + 8 = 8000.
- The worst case is 37 steps, starting from 0017
There are only 9 sovereign nations on the planet. Guess what they all have in common.
I'm logged in now, so that did the trick. I like the look of it, I really miss old school forums.
There are still a few good people left in the store. The situation has been solved for now, but we'll see in a month and a half

Can you set your robot to find other algos with fixed points? I'm guessing it's not so simple, since this one is considered popular, but it feels to me like it wouldn't be so hard to arrive at other algos with a couple properties (bounded above and have a fixed point) that do similar things.
Eff it, we'll do it live! <running my llm...>
Eureka!:
Algorithm: sort the digits descending (D) and ascending (A), then compute
f(n) = 9999 − ((D + A) mod 10000)
- Fixed point: 3333. Check: 3333 + 3333 = 6666, and 9999 − 6666 = 3333.
- Every input reaches 3333, including repdigits, which Kaprekar has to exclude.
- There are no other cycles or fixed points
- The worst case is 44 steps, starting from 1149: 1149 → 9439 → 6557 → 6777 → … → 6667 → 5666 → 7668 → 4555 → 9890 → 9120 → 0660 → 3333

I found and fixed a bug related to dropped websocket connections and excessive timeouts. Now it should work fine, let me know.
