I have the opposite reaction to these. People going about their day, suddenly pulled over over some bullshit and they are punished for reacting badly when it all could've been avoided by not enforcing bullshit laws.
A bunch of people who are normal ass people who should never see the inside of a courtroom are ticketed for bullshit that they have to spend a whole day at court for. And the cops always have the most insufferable power tripping attitude when talking to you. It's no wonder some people psychologically break when they receive that treatment. Criminals know they're breaking the law. They mentally rehearse these interactions. Normal people are put through this with no prep.
And almost every single one of these interactions are avoidable if the police acted more polite and de-escalatory. Any encounter initiated by the police that results in someone going to jail when they otherwise wouldn't is a problem that needs to be mitigated.
“You must be a young person.” Nope. Go fuck yourself.
