I find Jumble the most reliable and snappy client that works in a browser. WS is tricky for sure, and you have to read up about it and heartbeat and all that

WS should be reliable, afaik. Many WS at the same time, not so much. I think jumble.social nailed it well, you may want to check their repo

That’s strange, why did you integrate gifs.nostr.build then?
Check zap.observer and see what the speed is. The problem is that we don’t know where the profile is and which relay has the latest on. I had to harvest profiles and proxy optimize all pfps just to get to that, and it is still not great
