This reminds me of a time in Turkey when everyone was walking around with millions in their pockets for a while, until they removed 6 zeros from the currency. But things are heading in that direction again. 🙂

What is that? Looks like someone’s smashed jaw with a few teeth still in it.
Apparently the real flippening is artificial intelligence for human intelligence.

Good one. I like it. Forgot how Indian movies are, now I totally remember xD
Ed Sheeran restarting Macklemore’s career is the funniest part about last week’s kerfuffle.
Happy Friday y’all.
Saw this post too. Absolute clown. His dumb pubky thing is centralized and permissioned, and likely sells your data.

This whole 'provocative CEO' act is so boring. I’ve already backed him into a corner twice with questions. As soon as you ask more serious questions about his project, he suddenly goes quiet.
SAIF reading list podcast would be better
Oh Reddit is beautiful. Keyboard get wider and wider under nyms 😂
I just realized I should be on the slow/regulate AI side….
If money starts to flow out of AI Stocks, it will need other places to go it. 😂 probably Bitcoin.
Imagine being born into a world where the internet was already there 😄
That’s me with Sushi as well 😅
The internet most people know today is just the end result of AOL and CompuServe. They were fooled into thinking AOL and CompuServe had disappeared and that the real internet had won. In reality, they just built more advanced gated communities. Anyone who was online before 2001, or used bulletin board systems, knows what the real internet was like.
and i sound like an occultist 🙃
This is the internet renaissance. This is how it started, just with a different tech stack. Then Big Tech came along and turned the internet into a huge pile of shit. And this is how we take it back.

i'm honestly not understanding any of this critique you have. how is SAIF not operating from an islamic framework?
you say calling the western framework misguidance because it is christian? what does trinitarianism have to do with SAIF?
SAIF doesn't just raid from contenintal philosphy btw. the entire notion of the perifery is that marginal societies have their own unique contributions and a decentralization from the core islamicate is necessary.
طلب العلم فريضة على كل مسلم
then how does this apply to SAIF?
It seems that there is one in Richmond which is about 2m hours away from me, but it’s inside a University, which I doubt anyone can just walk in to.
Oh lady Hasky. Nice to see you again.
Wow. Sad we don’t have this here.

Calendars are now available in NoorNote!
It’s an addon with a regular NIP-52/NIP-52E calendar that lives entirely on relays. NIP-52E is a nonstandard proposal for handling private calendar events. NIP 52 by itself doesn’t cover that. So I used npub1cgd35mxmy37vhkfcmjckk9dylguz6q8l67cj6h9m45tj5rx569cql9kfex’s NIP-52E, which runs on https://calendar.formstr.app/. NoorNote’s encrypted private events are therefore compatible with Formstr’s.

You can select different events and combine them into your own calendar.

That calendar will then be displayed on your profile page.

You can add public or private events, which are encrypted, to your calendar. You can also share public events in your timeline while creating them.

Or you can share them later, after the event has been added.

Shared events look like this in the timeline.

When you click on one, you’ll see more details, including how many people have already said they’re coming.

You can also import the event into your own calendar.

i agree with framing it as a blessing. you're going to have to elaborate on how you interpret the Quranic view of technology though as i'm not understanding what you're getting at there.
or maybe fiqh has always been dead 🫠
Been reading D&G recently, and the way I've come to understand it is that SAIF can be both because rigidity and openness operate on different "strata."
There can be a relatively fixed metaphysical/civilizational orientation while the project itself can function as an "assemblage" where it produces different interpretations/expressions and even experiments depending on what it encounters. So the strata give the thing coherence and the lines of flight keep it from becoming a dead end. SAIF can have hard limits without it needing to demand a single rigid interpretation of everything inside them.
honestly, i think the idea that the islamic framework is in opposition to a western one is problematic. that mindset is just going to lead to racism imo
Heidegger is probably the most famous articulation of this problem (on the SAIF reading list for that reason).
and making an arguement we've seen GCC entrepreneurs make many times over the past decade
once you've seen one trainwreck you've seen them all. just having MH on the ticket is a pass for me. SNEAKO is just repeating the fails of the UK dawah scene.
the problem of technology
SAIF can correct me if i'm wrong but my undersatanding from @npub1z8j…rtds articel is that it must be both.
https://saif.systems/articles/mirroring-the-bedouins-of-old.html
fiqh:
"that's just your opinion bro"
ai:
"brilliant! and no scholar has put that together like you just did"
As someone who doesn't get the chance to sit down at laptop, I need this set up so bad!
#nevent1q…lg83
Bro, it can't be both. 🙂
You see, it's these kind of answers that drive people away from it.
Well @npub17ve…cc5z could explain it better than I can, but basically anyone can use their favorite llm to come up with whatever ruling they want. Clav or any idiot doesn't need to consult a scholar. Fiqh has been made a mockery of, and it doesn't really have any relevance to Muslims nowadays. How relevant is a Fatwa on Bitcoin on its adoption? Very little if any. Kinda like that. All that matters is what the popular person, or the state, says and does.
It's so bad. It's so bad that I can't help but post screenshots here because it's just so unbelievable if I tried to describe it. You have to actually see the trainwreck to truly appreciate the event
