That was with a proper dslr and expensive lens, however the theory is the same and you ought to be able to do that on a mobile now. You'd need a tripod and shoot in burst mode amd even then the moon would move, so when stacking the shots the software would have to compensate for that. I might try it, thinking about it.

Can you run a campaign for an existing nostr project that will get them a disproportionate amount, say $50k worth, of new customers in this time window? Can you handle the uncertainty of committing to a gig like this only to be paid after, possibly only if you reach a goal? To me, the idea of a good pano is that you shouldn’t immediately realise it’s a pano at first glance. It’s mostly about having enough air around your subject so you can get creative with the cropping. Otherwise, you can get a similar image with a single shot using a fisheye lens, but it won’t look as natural because of the geometric distortion.
The main benefits of a pano, in my view, are that you can get laser-sharp focus across the entire image without worrying about depth of field, and that you can photograph subjects you normally couldn’t capture by simply changing focal length or your position.
At least that’s how I see it. See what I mean:
