Ok. So what was the reason you got to Gnome after using a tiling WM?
i've actually already used tiling window managers for many years (hyprland, qtile, dwm, etc)
to me the main advantage is predictability
when a window opens, there is no need for messing with resizing, dragging windows, configuring "Always on top" or transparency
the window is just there in a tile, and i can adjust it with a few keypresses if i want to
workspaces are also handled much better i find
when i start my computer, there is no mental effort needed to find my critical apps
for example: my browser spawns on workspace 2 (or a named workspace, depending on WM) and music on 6, code on 3... etc
it's good for "i want to start working in my preset workflow"
