Also known as the false dawn , a luminous band of zodiacal light is captured in this dark night skyscape. The serene view was recorded just before the beginning of astronomical twilight during September's star party at the remote Hanle Dark Sky Reserve, Ladakh, India, planet Earth. At about 4,500 meters altitude, the dark sky reserve presents a haven for hardy stargazing and astrophotography enthusiasts. While meteors streak through the night, bright planet Jupiter appears immersed in the faint zodiacal glow near the eastern horizon. Follow the zodiacal band toward the zenith to find open star cluster M44 and a yellowish tinged planet Mars near the center of the frame. In fact, serendipitous detections of interplanetary dust by NASA's Juno spacecraft suggest Mars itself is the source of dust that back scatters sunlight and creates zodiacal light in planet Earth's night.

In my lifetime, growing up in the 90s-2000s, I never found U2 to be anywhere close to good music. I’ve never thought any of their other music was remotely good. Maybe they were just actors posing as musicians propped up by the studios for whatever they had to do 🤔 Am I alone here?

But I do feel super proud of not only surviving the dip but doing really well in our last quarter. The weather has been bad for 3 months solid, it’s been below 20 for weeks making it difficult to maintain good return temperatures to the asics. Wind stirs up dust and debris making maintenance an everyday essential. The rain just makes it miserable. It’s our fourth winter here in Paraguay and my second as head of operations; and it’s been a lot more challenging than last year. This winter has been just as much of an issue as the really hot weather. Hydro mining is all about the cooling towers, pumps, valves and sensors , the miners just work if you keep all that just right. Regulations and compliance requirements changed have changed overnight, energy providers have had internal disputes and changes about rates and provision to intensive and large customers. We have found a great opportunity in Africa, good rates for 10Mw of air cooled mining and phase 1 is on its final overland leg of a long haul out of the shit show that Ethiopia was. Fingers crossed for energisation before Christmas. Back in Paraguay construction begins next week on our second drying facility where we will be drying mangos and pineapple for export to Europe. I wouldn’t recommend trying anything like this if regulators and audits aren’t your thing. Crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s, first batches of bitcoin mango shipping end of Feb.
