Los mandatos de vacunación colisionan contra los principios fundamentales de la bioética, ya que priorizan la salud pública sobre la autodeterminación corporal y además, imponen uniformidad a la compleja diversidad biológica de las personas. Mediante estas medidas, los cuerpos de las personas pasan a ser propiedad del Estado.
Biológicamente, la imposición generalizada de vacunas es desaconsejable debido a que éstas no afectan por igual a todos los individuos, cada uno de los cuales tiene su particular historial clínico.
Finalmente, las imposiciones también distorsionan el avance científico pues desincentivan la crítica y las evaluaciones de seguridad, que quedan vinculadas a los intereses de los fabricantes.
