See past the stories your culture runs on and most people will never understand you, let alone believe you. I learned that the hard way. For a long time I thought if I just explained it better, people would come around.
Some did. Most didn't, and I've made peace with that. You don't see clearly to win the room. You do it so you're standing on solid ground when someone finally asks you how you got there.
In 1971 a new house cost about two and a half years of average income. Today it's closer to five. Same house. The dollar just buys less of it every year, and 1971 is the year it was cut loose from gold.
You can explain Bitcoin for hours, show the charts, hand someone the whitepaper. Most people nod and move on. What gets through is watching their savings shrink while they did everything right.
A page like this lets them see it before they learn it the hard way. Orange pilling still works. Sometimes it just needs a receipt.

Oil isn't scarce.
Gas isn't scarce.
Food isn't scarce.
Water isn't scarce.
Scarcity is engineered by the psychopaths running this world. The earth is not empty and the shelves aren't the problem.
There's no shortage.
ONLY CONTROLLED SUPPLY.
(Hyperbolic Statement)
Exactly. The garden was full, and the lie was convincing them something was missing. Scarcity always starts as a narrative.
Masculinity - The glad assumption of sacraricial responsibility
HERE'S TO ALL THE DADS...
- who paid for a dinner that no one was greatful for.
- who didn't know if they'd make it to pay day.
- who are trying their best to be a good man, in a society that devalues men.
- who lost their patience multiple times a day grinding when things don’t go easy
- who provide, support, and protect their marriage
- who never hear, "I'm proud of you." because those are important words to a man.
- who work long hours, and leave all the days frustrations at the door to be there for his kids, cause that's what dads do.
- who love so much even when they feel they're failing.
-who shoulder the weight of the world for their family.
You are doing a great job.
Concordo. Chaves próprias, relés próprios, e ninguém decide o que você vê.
Easy is everywhere now. Doing the hard thing on purpose is a rebellion at this point.
Yup. The difference is we get to pick what we consume.
Gentle reminder. Nothing on social media shows the full story.
Everyone has issues.
Everyone has insecurities.
Every human alive is fighting a battle they don't talk about. Don't let your mind create a fairy tale.
No one escapes real life.

You can have the most bitcoin in the world, but if you care more about stacking than you do about people, who the hell are you gonna transact with?
Think about it for a second. Your stack isn't gonna fix your roof. It's not showing up when your truck breaks down on the side of the freeway, and it sure isn't sitting with you in the hospital. People do that. Bitcoin is the best money ever made and I'll die on that hill, but money has always been about people trusting people. Take the people out and your cold storage is just a really expensive paperweight.
So go find the new Npubs, keep with your people and make their day. Answer questions, zap posts, keep helping each other. That new dude could be your future customer, your future business partner, maybe your future best friend. Every single person on here matters more than the coin in your wallet, and the sooner we all live like that, the faster this whole thing wins.
Stack hard and love people harder. Let's go 🧡

The movie Jaws was one of my childhood favs. It messed me up enough that I'd picture a great white in a crystal clear pool, fully aware there was nothing in there. I still checked the deep end.
The dream was always to swim with one outside the cage. No bars, just me and a fish. Decades later I still haven't done it, and somewhere in there I watched Quint slide down that shark's throat enough times for it to finally sink in. I have swam with other sharks though. Beautiful creatures.
So at some point, I'm going. In the cage. Kid me would call that soft, but kid me also thought a bigger boat fixed everything. 🦈

Somebody could be recording Lightning traffic right now, betting a future quantum computer will crack it open. A team from East Texas A&M and three other universities just built PQLN to guard against that, a post quantum layer for Lightning's gossip, connections, invoices, and payment onions. It runs on rust lightning next to normal nodes and adds at most a third of a millisecond.
It's a preprint, channel funds still wait on Bitcoin itself, and gossip gets heavier. But somebody built it and tested it on real nodes. Read it and make it better.

If they call their control
"PROTECTIVENESS,"
ask whether their protection expands or reduces your freedom.
They go away one of two ways. You mute them, or they get bored and stop following you. I've been around here a good while now and it plays out like that every time, so don't let it rattle you.
GM anons. If you were lucky enough to open your eyes this morning and still have breath in your lungs, that's the first thing worth being grateful for, and it only gets better from there.
When you roll over and see your wife or husband, be grateful. When your kids come dragging into the kitchen looking for breakfast, be grateful for them and for the fact that there's something to put in front of them. Same with the job. Some mornings it's hard to feel it, but having a career you get to go work at is a gift plenty of people would take in a heartbeat.
And when you open Nostr and see all the folks you've gotten to know on here, or you pick up something new you didn't know yesterday, or you've got a few options sitting in front of you instead of none, be grateful for that too. Somewhere out there today somebody woke up without any of it.
I'm as guilty as anyone of moaning and groaning about whatever's wrong that day, and there's usually something. But when I take a few minutes after my feet hit the floor to remember what I've been given, I end up with a lot more gratitude than I deserve.
We're all in this life thing together whether we like it or not. We can encourage and hold each other up, or we can do what the rest of the world does and tear each other apart. I'll take the first one. So be grateful today, and go encourage somebody while you're at it. The world's merciless enough as it is, so we might as well be as civil to each other as we can.
Day 16 after the Liquid hack.
User funds remain locked, pegout is not allowed.
Lately I actually read the terms on almost everything I open. Apps, accounts, updates, that little checkbox nobody reads. And every time, somewhere in my head, I'm saying fck no.
They want my location to show me the weather. My contacts so I can send a message. A license to everything I post, forever, in any media "now known or later developed." We click agree because the only other option used to be going without.
The terms end with us.

Teaching people how to regulate their emotions is crime prevention. It's addiction prevention. It's suicide prevention. It's generational healing.
It's how we stop raising adults who explode, implode, or shut down at the first sign of discomfort.
Emotional regulation is not just a soft skill. It's survival. It's the foundation of a society where people can disagree without dehumanizing each other, where accountability isn't seen as an attack, and where conflict doesn't always have to mean violence. You want a better world? We ought to start with emotional education
Cryptography keeps its promises. Days like this are the world starting to notice all over again. 🌽📈

Pure satire. I understand that it doesn’t end
We’re early. I agree. It’s coming.
People have asked me how to grow on Nostr. It comes up every couple months, usually in a DM from someone who's been posting for a few weeks and feels like they're shouting down a storm drain.
The real answer is less clever than they're hoping for. Sure, you should know where the attention is. Which relays people actually read and when the feed wakes up. That matters some. It matters a lot less than they think.
What moves people here is hearing something true. Most of us spent years on platforms that paid out for whatever kept the advertiser comfortable and the algorithm fed, and you learn to smell a post written for a committee. Nostr folks have that nose sharper than anyone. A lot of them left the old places specifically to get away from that smell.
This is a free speech protocol, and there aren't many of those. Your reach comes from people choosing to follow you and choosing to repost you. So the only real lever is whether what you said was worth reading. That's a harder bar than gaming a feed, and the people who find you that way tend to stick around.
Say what you actually think. Say it plainly, in your own words, and let the people who disagree show up in your replies. Zap the ones who push back well. In my experience they're the ones who end up reposting you.

To the men. Go to church today.
You will tell yourself you can worship anywhere. That is technically true and practically useless. God works by ordinary means and he has told us what they are. He works through preaching, through the Word read out loud, through the table, through people who will notice when you stop showing up.
You are tired and you had a hard week. So did everyone else in the pew. Go anyway.
And know what is waiting. Christ is not standing there to grade the week you just had. He is worthy on his own account and he gives himself to men who arrive with nothing in their hands. That is the entire offer, and it has never once been adjusted for merit.
Get up. Go. I promise He will fill you up.

You should be civil to strangers but it should not be easy to become your friend.
Only lower the drawbridge for the worthy.
A man who welcomes everybody into his kingdom will soon enough have no kingdom to speak of.
What is true of countries is likewise of men
Hopefully sooner than later.
Fed hiked a quarter point yesterday. Warsh says it's good news for folks who don't own assets, which is a bold thing to tell a guy who's been watching his grocery receipt get longer since 2021.
Twelve people sat in a room, decided what your paycheck is worth for the next few months, and we all just kind of nodded. I keep my savings somewhere that doesn't hold meetings.
I realized people only like you when you're easy to benefit from. When you say yes, stay quiet, and let things slide, they love you. But once you start saying no, setting boundaries, and standing on what's right for you, everthing changes.
Suddenly you got an attitude. Suddenly, you're the problem. Truth is, they never respected you, they just liked your silence. I'm not being difficult, I'm being real. If me protecting my peace offends you... that's your issue, not mine.
