I used to feel that way about AI. But I don't think it's a truth seeking machine, but a goal-seeking machine. It's instrumentality, not epiphany. I think it will only dig us deeper into our materialist/atheist hole.

I read Malcolm Guite's Galahad and the Grail recently (which I highly recommend), and now I'm seeing Arthurian legends everywhere. Lord of the Rings is an Arthurian legend. There are Arthurian elements in LeGuinn's cosmology. I'm tempted to think at this point that the entire fantasy genre is really just a secularization of Arthur.

New release of Flotilla is out! This is the first primarily clanker-written version, so it's a combination of bugfixes, splashy but poorly thought out features, and busy work (many tests, much CI).
My favorite new features are related to dictation and TTS — if you enter an OpenRouter API key into your settings, you'll now have the ability to ask flotilla to read a message to you. You can also dictate a message, transcribe it, and send it as a chat message.
Lots of redesign too, making classifieds, threads, and calendars more useful. I've also gotten rid of the dumb home page and added an inbox view which spans all your spaces, as well as a kind 1 feed from people you follow.
But wait, there's more:
* Replace the home page with a dashboard of unread conversations, space activity and a network feed
* Redesign the calendar with month, week and agenda views, and add RSVPs
* Redesign classifieds as a browsable marketplace
* Rework threads as one continuous list with unread indicators on every board

You should have your guys take a closer look at adhering to standards instead of using proprietary solutions. Flotilla is standards-first, and is an easy resource you can point your clankers. Nostrord is also very good, and talks to flotilla pretty well.

So I've been fiddling around with connecting agents to Flotilla for a couple weeks, and I'm discovering that while it's easy to get up and running, building a good harness is quite difficult and has a lot of trade-offs.
I know a lot of you have built nostr agent harnesses. Shill your project here, I'd like to take a look and see if I can avoid re-inventing the wheel.

Just released a new relay implementation:

This is a narrowly-focused DM relay. It supports negentropy, enforces recipient auth, 16 bits of pow, and evicts events after 3 months. Free for you to use, and free for you to self-host as a personal relay (there is a pubkey whitelist option as well). The goal is to make DMs somewhat more deliverable by providing a sane default — the relays I had been using have slowly been failing to serve messages.

I told claude to register for my gitea instance using a nostr nsec, and it did it. At one point it reported:

The internet as we've known it is melting before our eyes. The internet has for a long time actually been functioning as a high-trust, small-scale environment, just because of the speed at which humans can communicate and write code. Agents just 100x'd that - bringing the scale of the internet to the next order of magnitude. With all the degeneracy leaps in scale imply.
Yeah, it crafts a prompt but it doesn't directly consult the food database. That is ok in my book though because food varies so much anyway, you're never eating a platonic anything.
