After finding my first real use for AI -- customizing the heck out of this Omarchy install, building custom plugins -- I'll say it:

The Dell XPS 13's speakers are fine for a PC, but are practically tin cans when compared to an Apple device. Which is exactly what one should expect, but there you go.

Typically, in a bigger environment, yes: it's a visual sign that can act as an invitation. When I served in Chicagoland proper, I almost always wore clerics.
In my village, nearly everyone knows who I am, and therefore the need isn't the same.
Also: priests never wear their collars on their days off, and that's the start of mine 😀.

CA is too big to qualify as like anything. LA ir SF may be like NYC, but almost nothing else is. The state is just too big for that noise.

It always does, for sure. At the same time, we don't shy away from the reality that we the living feel that loss: one of my favorite prayers, the Salve Regina, calls our existence a "valley of tears," and the more losses I acrue, the more acute that sense gets.
On Fridays I always visit my homebound shutins. Love them all, but it's hard watching them deteriorate, and harder still to lose them. I don't handle it as well as I used to.
They need those visits. Thank you.

The same loose language. Absolution is what is granted in the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession. In the case of an emergency, though, I can grant absolution outside of the context of a confession.

We actually do, depending upon the sacrament in question. The only one that becomes iffy is Reconciliation and Preaching, since faculties are specifically granted. But they're granted in perpetuity, until there is a need to withdraw them. I was granted this authority four bishops ago.
Something like baptizing or saying Mass is not directly derived from the Bishop, although it should be done in union with him. I could leave the Priesthood with no formal ties to my bishop and still celebrate a valid Eucharist, but it would be illegal (illicit) for me to do so. Would the matter be transformed, however? Absolutely.
Also, to make things even more complicated: ex-priests always retain the right to grant absolution and even to anoint in emergencies.
The food pantry gave us multiple bags of cereal-sized marshmallows to distribute through our supplemental kitchen. Are these ghosts? Teeth? Either way, my childhood dreams re: Lucky Charms have come true, and I am very tempted to throw some milk on these badboys.
