Obviously it’s not a chat model. So, how does this translate into automation? What are the applications?

Oh, I see: Hook it up to a Doom console and it’ll automate the shit out of your dungeon crawl.

https://typesafe.ai/blog/introducing-system-one-models-and-jev

And here are the other potential use cases.

https://docs.typesafe.ai/concepts/use-case-map

Then I paused to reconsider and do a background search. Now I think that some people pay hundreds up to thousands for certain educational experiences. At some conceptual level Microduck sounds to me like the Amazon DeepRacer: a device used to help ppl learn and apply cloud concepts, machine learning, and robotics. Maybe Microduck is a “toy,” but perhaps it’s not *just* a toy.

From a Microduck article I found: “The creators also say their simulated twin approach will give owners, even those with beginner-level programming skills, the ability to train their robot while better understanding how AI training works.”

Months ago when Ledger’s shipping company got hacked, I got spooked and started researching other cold wallet (ahem, signing device) solutions with the intention of migrating. I noticed several influencers praising ColdCard products. The marketing seemed slick. I started feeling remorse for being the normie simpleton who didn’t own one. But I eventually told myself not to knee-jerk every time the FUD hits. It turned out that doing nothing was the right thing, but not for the reason I would have ever envisioned.

I’m not unfamiliar with crypto hashing. Before last week, I never heard of dice-rolling your own seed phrase. After several days of reading my nostr feed about the CC meltdown, the message of “multi-vendor multi-sig” has resonated loud and clear in my brain.

So that seems like a migration worth moving forward with not necessarily as a FUD-induced knee-jerk, but because it seems prudent to strengthen my self-custody for the long-haul in the age of AI. I know it’s not a perfect solution. But I’m just not gonna build my own seed signer, do hundreds of casino dice rolls, hand jam a bunch of zeros and ones, convert hex values, and consult the BIP-39 word list. I’m not cool enough, and I guess I’m willing to suffer for not being cool (ahem, not a sufficiently self-sovereign anarcho-cypherpunk.) Hell, I’m barely cool enough for nostr if at all.

As I understand it, I could pay for a multi-sig service like CASA or Unchained, or I could set it up locally for free with a Sparrow Wallet. I found this article that I think will walk me through self-setup. Maybe I can figure out how to do that.

https://cryptosafekit.com/blog/how-to-set-up-a-multisig-hardware-wallet-with-ledger-and-trezor/

Then click save and click update.

The other way to edit the json file is to go into the OpenClaw shell through the Umbrel GUI, Settings -> Terminal -> OpenClaw Terminal. Brew install nano if you don’t have it. Then use nano to edit the file. Then go back to the GUI, right click OpenClaw, and restart it. Your Telegram settings should load.

I was able to connect to the UI but it wouldn’t pair with the URL token. I was feeling totally defeated.

Then I checked the App Store and saw the app was there. I downloaded it, dropped in my OpenAI API key, and it connected no problem. But the bot wouldn’t respond. The issue (per troubleshooting log) showed it trying to connect to Anthropic not OpenAI. So I had to go into config under Models and manually enter openai/gpt-4o. Now it’s working. Thanks for getting the app out so quickly! 👍
