So I’m at my favorite diner and the pleasant young dad at the next table is wearing a shirt that says “MAKE STRAWS PLASTIC AGAIN”. Man I wish I’d thought of that first.

The attempt on Reagan was in 1981. eBay was founded 1995. So somebody had this blood in a freezer for at least 14 years? That’s a wild story alright 🤔 Perhaps in the future I’ll have time for the whole episode and it will make sense

Timely suggestion. Earlier this weekend I rescued all my Douglas Adams from the recycle bin. Let’s start with a Vogon poetry slam and give them one more chance

The tux started out as a gentleman’s dinner “uniform” in the clubhouse in the gated community of Tuxedo Park, New York. The term has since come to refer to any formal dinner wear. Anyway someone told me that when I attended a daytime wedding there in 1989, in a regular suit.

I don’t care how anyone pronounces it (sorry Walker but “hoddle” is habitual by now). But anyone who claims it’s an acronym needs to be excommunicated or at least berated without mercy.

I’ve occasionally thought that maybe placing a call should require a deposit, which may or may not be returned at the discretion of the recipient. Of course the statist approach would be to drone the crap out of the call centers. Actually surprised that has never come up as a campaign promise.

Same policy here. Slightly fewer scam calls. Occasionally the caller ID will say something like “ILLEGAL SCAM” 🤣

I always thought free speech was our most widely shared value. What I sensed during Covid was widely shared support for censorship. It feels like we’ve taken a step or two back from the edge, but you’re right, we can’t be vigilant enough.
