One morning, in hospital, a staff member wore the same gloves to clean the toilet and to clean my table, including picking up my water glass by the rim.
I was unable to do things for myself, I had to trust the staff, but I couldn’t.
There was no way to manage this situation.

Pretty good. Someone knows how to cook potatoes, so that’s the main thing. Roast pork today was standard pub fare, but a small mountain of excellent roast potatoes made me feel very happy.

Yesterday I saw the grave of Anne Brontë.
She rests at the foot of a castle, in the yard of an old church, overlooking the North Sea.
Apart from a small sign there is no tourist hype.
There was one small bunch of flowers leaning against her stone, and me, and a cool sea breeze, and peace.

Off on an adventure tomorrow.
A more careful adventure than planned, due to being one eye down right now, but an adventure just the same.
Much flying, then much sleeping, probably back on the air from North Yorkshire in a couple of days.
Adventure is a method for reestablishing independence.

Then the ALP should be compelled to explain to the people living below the poverty line why we can afford AUKUS but we can’t afford a dignified level of unemployment benefit.

My disappointment in the Greens is their feebleness in campaigning. They refuse to send out talking points, memes, useful, simple data for their supporters to deploy on social media. They make no use of the public who could help them advertise in the way they can’t afford on standard media. They seem to want to be a small club, not a movement.
