This is true, but the standard isn't traditional software companies. It's one and two man teams all over "web3" and independent builders who have been shipping for years now. Everyone has their own pace and capabilities and I can't code anything, so grain of salt here. People just see what can be done and have higher expectations. That being said there have been lots of improvements.

Marcel Duchamp said the act of choosing was the intention that made his ready made art art. Even in a one step process of an ai prompt and a result, the human chooses to present it as art and that makes it art. The fact that it ruffles feathers and makes people hem and haw is art in itself. You can fight progress all you want, but you can't define art. Many have tried and yet art marches on. ✌️

2024-09-16 03:35:53 UTC

AI art is art. AI is a tool, this piece required a sketch, a trained Lora, image blending, and post processing. https://image.nostr.build/66a72d5e3307102df1eb3fcc58b875cdea15d1edeb2daae14fc41998dcae0fd3.jpg

You said my art isn't art, that's your opinion and I'm allowed to respond. All through time people try to define what is and isn't art. Duchamp wasn't accepted at first either.

Coming from the digital art space this is wrong, but comes to the correct conclusion. It won't be a problem if Bitcoin is ever used as currency because it will price out 99% of creators and collectors. The scarcity part is way off, there's plenty of scarcity in the digital space and plenty of collectors including from the trad art world and institutions. I've heard lightening was having problems, they'll have to figure it out, but main chain will price it out.
