Property rights fall to the marginal cost of protection and that points towards property with a bootstrapped decentralized security system. When you centralize power, abundance becomes a liability unless you solve the problem of fair distribution (decentralized security).

Peace emerges when you surrender what lies beyond your control, while aligning what you can control with your limited awareness of the greater whole.

If we can't even solve the human/human alignment problem at scale, why do we think we can solve the human/AI alignment problem? Maybe they're the same problem and maybe the solution is a monetary standard that is bounded to the same constraints as all the agents trying to scale.

AI is exposing that ideas, discoveries, art, code, and knowledge can all be copied, learned from, reverse-engineered, and then built upon.
Property rights tend to fall back toward the lowest layer that can actually defend the claim. ₿

Watching the bitcoin priced in fiat units is usually just a form of speculation on some of the worst centralized scamcoins that exist, although it can also be observing which stage of the rug pulls we're currently at.

2026-09-06 00:46:24 UTC

Sometimes the constraints preventing new possibilities are physical and technology/innovation removes them. Sometimes they're conceptual and imagination removes them. Sometimes they're psychological and surrender removes them.

2026-09-04 22:06:41 UTC

Maybe the status games of social media were never the solution to our differences. Maybe broken money got us here.
Money should keep different worldviews connected through shared constraints, letting us coordinate for mutual benefit instead of virtue signaling our way to conformity.

The ego is built from coherent stories that hide the vulnerabilities we have not yet integrated. Non-attachment lets us observe those stories without holding them so tightly, loosening the threads of preference that weave them together until the narrative begins to unravel.
Those preferences of fear and desire usually hide in "plane" sight. Just behind the curtains of common cognitive biases, where the ego hopes we won't look.

Probably the sunken cost into their hardened world views, based around survivorship bias. Also the aversion to the perceived losses of superiority that would occur as their fractured egos reorganize around an alternate paradigm, where they were mostly just lucky beneficiaries of a corrupted system. The ego emerges as the mask for our vulnerabilities that we have not integrated.

Fears and desires become leverage points when we are unable to experience them without automatically reacting. Awareness protects our agency. The less conscious we are of our attachments, the more externally programmable our behavior becomes.
Ego masks vulnerability with a tempting coherent narrative, creating this leverage.

“Turtles all the way down” is infinite regress, every explanation rests on another.
The ego does the same in reverse, building subtler maps of “me” through time, even in trying to escape itself.
Ego all the way up.
But the map is inside the territory, and it can never contain the whole of it. Suffering begins when we defend the map against reality.
Awareness is the willingness to let the map change.
