There’s circular economies, and people fleeing wars zones and financial oppression that happily use bitcoin. I think when people have a true need coupled with a trivial understanding, they adopt it.
I think people that got into Bitcoin drowning in high inflation countries were not held back by the 2 mins it took to understand Bitcoin/Sats.

How I feel using Hermes with Routstr

I tried investigating their security claims when they announced their agent with a rebrand. Everything was in vague terms and they definitely don’t mention Tinfoil.
You’re absolutely right and I’m glad you’re shedding light how non-transparent some people are about these projects, then acting like they invented fire while getting circle jerked in podcast circuits

2026-10-05 20:47:29 UTC

But you’re vastly overestimating people’s motivations and assuming everyone wants to vibe code a technical and custom solution to all their problems.

2026-10-05 17:04:36 UTC

- reply

Good to know there’s a workaround. But personally this is enough of a deal breaker for agentic use. Native chat/session list at a sidebar is too core of a feature to piece together like that

2026-10-05 15:15:11 UTC

- reply

The different chats/sessions you have with an agent. The different conversations. On WN I can only have one when talking to Hermes. It’s like messaging a person like a normal chat app, but I have 20 different chats with Hermes.
Is this a planned feature on the roadmap?

2026-10-05 14:57:55 UTC

- reply

Hermes did it for me fairly easily when I linked to the WN agent webpage.
Considering my first attempt was a painfully failed attempt at setting up my own matrix server, WN was a breeze. But I need my chat sessions listed so I’ll probably switch to something else for that.

Unrestricted more capital than all competitors will eventually play out so that the monopoly either acquires or copies everything in its way.
That extends beyond the scope IP laws ofc. But as a person that hates most things governments do, I don’t see how a fair competition that benefits the consumers can occur without some regulations.

@nprofile…atvg @nprofile…5c4t Wouldn’t IP laws help prevent monopolies that can forever crush new entrants? If Amazon could rip off every single IP protected hardware without consequences, their infinite budget would always allow them to outcompete against startups with better ideas, no?

I'm having it research better automation tools/processes for job applications so it starts getting me interviews while I sleep! It started off super slow as it was getting stuck on tons of agentic browsing issues. The internet is very hostile towards bots (understandably), and Hermes does learn lessons well, but I wanted to dedicate a full research session to speed up the learning as it was too slow for this process and likely would've burned more tokens.

Ive thought about opening up shop in Upwork and Contra around 2023 as a designer, but the grind to get established while beating the prices of lower market designers felt futile.
But most importantly, I didnt want a pimp to dictate my business lol. Especially with ever increasing fees and KYC. My account as a client got frozen in the middle of a very small project on Upwork where they all of a sudden demanded multiple forms of ID. I just abondened the project and account, then chargebacked the TX from my credit card.
