In my country an unelected friend of the governing party can relocate from overseas and become the prime minister without stepping a foot into any publicly accountable office prior.

Canadians are attempting economic suicide by bravado. Let's see how it pans out. In the meantime I'm opting out. You know the drill.

I'm not a big social media user in general but I made an intention to come check in on the Ross Ulbricht news with the right people 🤙

true,
or when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves (Rom 2.14)

How I feel coming back to nostr after lengthy breaks
It's not you, it's me. I don't do much non-business social media.

Hi nostritches👋 I'm adding psychotherapy clients to my private practice. If you're in Canada and have time throughout the day let me help you move toward your goals and values. I specialize in behavioural health, sleep,, OCD, BPD, and mind and mood. If you have extended health care benefits those apply and you may be able to work with me for free. Message me for details.

I had a dream today that I went back in time and bought 500 bitcoins from a former friend.

What resources and links would you recommend to explain to someone the flaws of ethereum/altcoins and why Bitcoin only?

Adam was taken from the earth (work), while Eve was formed from the flesh of man (relationship). This ancient Hebrew story says something deep and profound about men and women and differences in their basic life orientations. Adam was inclined to and created to work, while Eve was inclined to and made Adam's helper.

I remember seeing a graph of voting outcomes if women's votes are selectively removed... Astounding.
The desire for patriarchal safety, provision, security, and authority cannot be satisfied in any civil government. These are domains that only rightly belong to the natural family unit and patriarch as he images God as father. Western women have largely rejected this but still seek it in government; a new kind of father.

Today I became a full independent registrant member without restrictions with my provincial psychotherapy regulatory college.
I am relieved, but not without conflict.
Real-world regulatory colleges do not accomplish their intended mandates or come close to their ideals. In my observation, they are often just another example of a way-too-big over-extending government into all aspects of life. Freedom is sacrificed on the altar of safety.
Did you know you that there is a bylaw that registrants aren't allowed to criticise this college? 🤔

O Canada! Beneath thy shining skies
May stalwart sons and gentle maidens rise,
To keep thee steadfast through the years
From East to Western sea,
Our own beloved native land,
Our True North, strong and free! 🍁
Ruler Supreme, Who hearest humble prayer,
Hold our dominion within Thy loving care.
Help us to find, O God, in Thee
A lasting, rich reward,
As waiting for the Better Day,
We ever stand on guard. 🙏

Bad psychology is worldview, baseless postulations, and personality theory. Good psychology is the science of common sense. 💡
Research often confirms what observant and wise people already know about human behaviour. 🔍
Outside confirmation is good and necessary, actually. You never know if you can trust your own observations without it. 💭

My wife just asked who Molly was. It's a good thing our trust and faithfulness game is on point or else that Signal hard fork could have caused a problem.

Ya no KYC is best. When it comes to credit card rewards it's basically either 1% back in fiat or 1% back in KYC coin. That's a no brainer to me.
Best is not to spend money frivolously anyhow

I've taken a week off of the grind to reconnect with who and what's important after hitting a professional milestone. I'm using this time to take tangible steps toward my values of: privacy, freedom, tinkering, quality time, reading, health, fitness, faith, and mindful time in nature again after some neglect of these items.
