A New York suit by “Noah Doe” and two Wyoming LLCs seeks a court order confirming their ownership of 39,069 long‑dormant Bitcoin wallets, arguing the wallets are legally “abandoned” property they found, reported to NYPD, noticed on‑chain and in the press, and then claimed under NY lost‑and‑found statutes
The total holdings of these addresses are 3,791,121.17697938 BTC, with addresses attributed to Satoshi Nakamoto, early miners, Casascius Coins, lost coins, hackers and unidentified entities.
Note that for majority of old coin holders like Satoshi Nakamoto, the notice was sent to the P2PKH version of the addresses which hold no to dust value, while the real balances are held the P2PK version.

Individual holders of ETFs can’t be reflected on chain, they are part of the ETF, example: Blackrock’s IBIT.
However, they are reflected on 13F.timechainindex.com, which tracks 13F filings for institutions for different kinds of securities/stocks including Bitcoin ETFs.

Exchange reserve charts usually present false data, they need a lot of maintenance to keep the addresses labels up to date, which clearly coinglass and similar website don’t do, this chart is missing around 1.5 million btc in exchanges reserves, don’t rely on them for stats and information.

As of the latest data, there are 54,411,314 positive Bitcoin addresses holding a total of 19,760,011 BTC.
Of these, 12,423,601 addresses hold more than 1,000,000 Satoshis, collectively representing 19,709,087 BTC.
According to data from timechainindex.com, approximately 155k addresses belong to non-individual entities such as exchanges, corporations, over-the-counter (OTC) traders, governments, ETFs/ETPs, custodians, and dormant Coinbase rewards from before 2014, holding a combined total of approximately 8.1 million BTC.

X user: @CoinsectChris agreed to help me by providing me with one of his Upbit deposit addresses, after tracking one of the transactions (mempool.space/tx/e5f94595774…) which is a deposit addresses consolidation into one of Upbit hot wallets (3DBstx7FJGSsXd8ibuVQe8QWm1BnTdNLFy), tracking the transactions from that wallet, the funds ended up in wallet (32ubrAmhtUoebPQDLi12ZsnxjmnMiUsryV) which has a lot of transactions with the wallet known as Mr.100 (1Ay8vMC7R1UbyCCZRVULMV7iQpHSAbguJP)
So here it is a definitive proof that the addresses belong to Upbit on the surface.

This Upbit/Mr.100 saga will never end
Looking at the addresses coming into Upbit for the past month, almost all the funds are coming from Bithumb which is also a South Korean Exchange which in turn is being funded from Binance.
Bithumb had an address which was created from consolidations of Bithumb Deposit Addresses worth 5,000 BTC on 13 Aug, 2024, then that address keep splitting into UTXOs of 10 BTC into address (31wXuLH5AKBWoZsK4VJS5wG75nTUAWYnWf) and almost all these funds go into Upbit slowly then consolidated into UTXOs of ~100BTC into Upbit/Mr.100 address.
Upbit was also directly heavily funded from Exchanges like Binance/OKX/Bybit.
Are Upbit/Bithumb recruiting all these fake users to purchase all these funds from different exchanges on behalf of some wealthy Asian business men/governments or is this just one big money laundering scheme? only time will tell

An address worth 1,225 BTC moved after 10 years of being dormant, they sent 1 BTC to kraken and sent the rest to a change address.
Looking back few hops, the funds originated from Feb-Mar 2009 Coinbase Rewards, with a total of 4,000 BTC.

🚨🚨🚨 7 Hours ago Coinbase moved 2 x 8,000 BTC from 2 cold wallet addresses, these funds were not sold rather distributed among old and new Coinbase addresses, i have retraced all the funds displayed in the image detailing were the funds ended up.
The total in the Difference column shows how much each addresses received with some more funds received also from other addresses.
