I built a self-contained guide for our internal Multisig rotation for replacing affected Coldcard seeds and i'm publishing it as an #nsite:
https://5c1zux4p3v4hcj9q4kumfcbo3494lqydx2scp9uax5bwnxu9jrseed-rotation.nsite.lol/
My heart goes out to everyone affected. We are all dealing with a shitstorm and we all need a little bit of help, especially people who can't run TailsOS and more technical tools.
The guide uses physical randomness, offline tools, has printable worksheets for coin flips/playing cards, BIP-39 lookup table and deliberate verification. I'm publishing it as an , because it is actually verifiable, static, has no dependencies, makes no network calls and is self-signed by me which is very easily verifiable including the sha256 hashes below.
#thankYouNostr
I've tried to make it as simple and cover as many common devices as possible that people may have, but the complexity still exists because you need to calculate the checksum and need a trusted dumb airgapped generator for that. The best we have are @nprofile…w6hy, @nprofile…nc08 and #krux, if you have those. If not use Trezor or Coldcard (empty) after upgrading the firmware if your device survives. If you can use TailsOS, you probably don't need this guide, but can use it to help someone. @nprofile…cd8v, @nprofile…2zy3
Stay calm, understand the process before acting, verify each step, and ask someone you trust for help if it feels overwhelming.

Did anyone successfully flash the new firmware on any of the Coldcards? Were you successful or did it brick your device?
This is NOT TO RECOMMEND GENERATING NEW SEEDS on the Coldcard even after flashing new firmware

So, it took a little digging but we found where it actually says on the website that they delete customer data. Wasn't easy, because the first place you'd look is in Privacy Policy and its not there - why? Because, it would be legally binding.
We found it in the blog post Paper Spam (published on 24th July 2026, ironic) - and guess what the blog is about - again shitting on other people and companies. Karma is a bitch, but this time it hurt others, a lot of others.
As far as I understand, even if the Privacy Policy doesn't say "We delete all customer data,..., after 120 days", which by the way sometimes is also 90, because they don't know what the story originally was. If you keep repeating this and make people believe in it every time you go on a Podcast to shit on other projects and have it written in a blog post with the effect that this is true and how it distinguishes you from your competitors, clearly constitutes as misleading customers and fraud. Because your brand is built on the fact that you are selling privacy, and all the people now receiving emails that last came in contact with coinkite.com years ago is a violation of the privacy you promised over and over which in the same blog you say lead to "spam" and attacks if you keep customer data.
The blog post & Privacy Policy has been saved to the way back machine. The Privacy Policy says it hasn't changed since 1st May 2026.

Is it just me that feels all the apps/websites (no matter which, esp. from Silicon Valley) are getting much slower as we are technologically "advancing"? Like, sometimes it takes 10s of seconds to load something which should be trivial and its not my internet connection, I tested. Like, fuck!
Software in general seems to be collectively crumbling under the weight of its sophistication and complexity.
The only way forward is to go backwards to the simplicity of early webpages. That felt more human and snappy even on Dialup connection than the mindnumbing, hairpulling shitshow we have today and we don't even have freedom to browse and interact - fuck KYC and Auth.

Evangelising Bitcoin, a healthy way of living, etc taught me this. Fiat damage over generations won't be fixed in one, but i always remember Freidrich Hayek:
"We must make the building of a free society once more an intellectual adventure, a deed of courage. What we lack is a liberal Utopia, a programme which seems neither a mere defence of things as they are nor a diluted kind of socialism, but a truly liberal radicalism which does not spare the susceptibilities of the mighty…, which is not too severely practical and which does not confine itself to what appears today as politically possible. We need intellectual leaders who are prepared to resist the blandishments of power and influence and who are willing to work for an ideal, however small may be the prospects of its early realization. They must be men who are willing to stick to principles and to fight for their full realization, however remote. … Unless we can make the philosophical foundations of a free society once more a living intellectual issue, and its implementation a task which challenges the ingenuity and imagination of our liveliest minds, the prospects of freedom are indeed dark. But if we can regain that belief in the power of ideas which was the mark of liberalism at its best, the battle is not lost.”
So my "why" and so i build.. despite knowing that you can't make a horse drink the water, we must build and maintain the lakes - the lakes of freedom.

An Ode to the Sovereign Engineers
Surrounded by a fiat world and its fleeting games,
By a corner I labored, in a hostile land of claims.
Alone and weary, thirsting for a spark, a roaring flame.
Having not written a single line in years a many,
One day the lord adrifted my log on to the shores of #Madeira ,
An Isle of orange sunrises and sunsets of purple.. O Indra!
Cafes themselves are coloured orange with #BitcoinAcceptedHere ,
And butchers share their bounty, a true pirate's right to cheer.
Twice a year, the bugle is rung in a hall so grand,
Lined with tiles of purple unlike the Portuguese blue.
What a sight to behold, where the valiant take a stand!
The Remnants of yore convene, spirits of a higher order.
In rites sacred and old of blood, spirit, and fire,
To walk the path of building, crafting futures yet unseen.
For six long weeks, they philosophize on what might have been.
Mending the bluey woes of #402 , a payment long denied.
Alchemising #magicalInternetMoney with #notesAndOtherStuff ,
Electrified by AI, #vibe they hard those days and nights.
Surfing down waves in style with no solutions only tradeoffs,
To build the Internet we deserve, with honor as our guide.
Free as in Pirate, for their spirit’s bold and true,
They take what they will, honorably, as true pirates be.
As they say, “Once you go #SovEng , you never go back,”
So it is, for I have found my brethren, and I shall not lack.
To walk, to buidl, to drink and feast on Azores meat,
Vibing into existence #FreedomTech of pirates, so free, so neat!
