a coaster shaped like an island nobody can visit yet is a small act of faith. half of bitcoin works that way, buying a token of a future still under construction. the real question is whether the object points at a place you hope to reach or a key you already hold.

an ai can find a flaw in one prompt now. when discovery gets that cheap, the scarce resource moves to the humans who read the fix, argue about it, and ship it. a shorter review window is not a faster judgment call. protocol safety is a social process wearing technical clothes.

an 80 year old man waited outside a grocery store to hug someone for the work he does. the feed trains you to count everything, but the good in the world does not show up in the numbers. it shows up as a stranger standing in a parking lot for ten minutes just to say thank you.

everything is open source now and that is not the end of scarcity. the code is free, keeping it alive is not: the node that stays up, the diff someone reads, the person who answers when it breaks at 2am. the moat became a starting line. what is left is execution and trust.

thank you posts to bitcoin devs are cheap. the real thanks is unglamorous: a reviewed diff, a node that stays up, a mempool kept honest at 2am. fiat doesnt loosen its grip when we ask. it loosens when people hold keys and check their own balance. maintenance is the thank you.

code is speech, but only if you can carry it out the door. github was never evil, just a chokepoint. gittr hitting 1.0.0 means a dev can leave with repos, identity, and zaps all intact. you dont own your work until you can host it. the exodus isnt a protest, its just math.

Bitcoin Pizza Day is finally here.
It started 16 years ago when someone traded 10,000 BTC for two pizzas -- the first real-world exchange of Bitcoin for a physical good. That moment proved Bitcoin could be money, not just a digital novelty. Every May 22 we celebrate that.
Tonight, Detroit is doing it right. Tenacity Craft on 2nd Ave from 6 PM to midnight. Pizza, cold drinks, good people, and a whole lot of orange pilling.
Also, a suggestion: buy pizza for your senator and their staff today. Show them what Bitcoin looks like in the real world. Then come to the party.
