Update:
Alaa has just sent me a message:
"Please, my brother, a low-pressure system will arrive on Tuesday and last for several days. The doctor told me to keep your mother warm.
My mother is going out tomorrow."
Please try to imagine this.
An elderly woman, having just undergone life-threatening surgery, is kicked out of the hospital and exposed to a fierce storm.
What if this were your mother?
Is this acceptable in this world?
My heart is breaking right now.
But I just donated money for her surgery, and I'm running out.
Please, bring one justice to this cruel world.
It can be done for 218 euros.
You can do it.
You can change the world.
Even 10 euros would be appreciated.
Caution!
Do not donate to Alaa's campaign page!
There is no administrator, so you cannot send money to her.
Please see this link for information on how to donate to her:

Mother of AlaaGaza2026
[@AlaaGaza2026](https://mastodon.social/@AlaaGaza2026 )
has successfully undergone stroke surgery and is scheduled to be discharged tomorrow.
However, she currently has no safe place to stay.
Alaa's family has only a dilapidated tent and is living in a condition not much different from homelessness. This is life-threatening for her frail mother.
Alaa urgently needs €218 to purchase a winter tent.
Please help her. This is an emergency.
Don't stand idly by and watch her mother die in silence.
Please note that donations cannot be sent through Alaa's campaign page. Because the manager has disappeared.
Donations must be made through the campaign page of
Bilal Mohammed Zeyada

An additional message has come from Alaa:
"I spoke with the tent owner and he told me to pay half the price upfront, and the other half a week later. Thank God, so now he needs 700 shekels to give me the tent."
So she needs €203.00.
And the institution demands 7% fee when Bilal transfers funds to Alaa.
Then, total amount needed is about €218, that is about $245.
This is enough money to buy a nice pair of shoes or clothes.
But with the same amount of money, you can fundamentally change someone's life. And for the better. more futher, your own life.
Is there any other purchase that is more worthwhile?
Please consider.

Update:
I've just receive the following message from Alaa:
"Good morning, my brother. My mother is praying for you. Thank God, she's better. The hospital will discharge her tomorrow, and I begged them to keep her, but there are no empty beds; there are so many patients.
Now my mother is being discharged tomorrow, and I don't have a tent. I don't know where my mother, my children, and I will stay.
Please, we need the money today so I can buy a tent. My mother is being discharged tomorrow."
I've told Alaa that she can't expect that donations come immediately and should find temporal refugee for her mother.
But I think Alaa feels helpless.
I do so too. I have no longer way of helping her except doing plea here.
If you can, please help Alaa.
She says that she needs $450 to buy a new tent.
I know that it is not extravagant at all.
The previous post contains information on how to donate to her.
Please concider.

I've received a message from
AlaaGaza2026
[@AlaaGaza2026](https://mastodon.social/@AlaaGaza2026 )
as the followings:
Good morning. My mother has just woken up and thanks you very much. She says, "May God bless you."
Thank God, her health is better now.
But we urgently need a tent, my brother. My mother might pass away in two days. I have nothing.
We have no food or medicine.
Please, I beg you, share my message. We urgently need the money for the tent.
That's all.
It is truly wonderful news that Alaa's mother has escaped the life-threatening situation.
However, this is Gaza. The danger still lingers for her.
She needs nutritious food and medicine.
And she needs a tent to protect her from the winter cold and wind and rain, as her body is weakened.
Because she cannot provide all of these, Alaa is now in despair and worries that her mother will not be able to withstand the ordeal and will die.
Please, offer her some encouragement.
Even $10 would help her.
And please note the following when donating to Alaa.
Donations made through her own donation page will not reach her because there is no one to manage it.
Currently,
Bilal Mohammed Zeyada
[@bilalmzeyada](https://mastodon.social/@bilalmzeyada )
is handling the transfers to Alaa.
If you wish to donate to her, please do so through Bilal's donation page:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-khaled-and-his-bride-celebrate-love-in-gaza
Please be sure to inform Bilal of your intention.
Signal is the most reliable method. (His contact information is listed in his profile.)
Alternatively, you can DM me, and I will pass the message on to Bilal.
Please note that when Bilal transfers money to Alaa, the financial institution will charge a 7% fee.
Furthermore, Bilal, despite his own difficult circumstances, makes these transfers to Alaa as a volunteer service without expecting any compensation.
When donating to Alaa, please also consider donating to Bilal.
Example message:
"I will donate $20 each to Bilal and Alaa. I will add a 7% transfer fee to Alaa, bringing the total donation to $41.40."

Sharing suffering isn't about empathy. It's about taking some kind of action, however small.

2026-10-20 22:30:27 UTC

People's suffering may or may not be resolved in the near or distant future.
But before that, suffering must be shared in the present.
This is something that religious wisdom has always said, something that modern, individualistic social movements have completely forgotten.

‼️EMERGENCY‼️
These are the messages sent to me just before by
AlaaGaza2026
[@AlaaGaza2026](https://mastodon.social/@AlaaGaza2026 )
[Machine translation from Arabic]
"Please, I beg you, tell your friends and acquaintances, my mother is in danger.
My mother is very sick.
My mother has high blood pressure and diabetes. She had a stroke recently and now needs heart stents and urgent surgery.
Please, her life is in danger. I am so sad.
Please, the doctors just said the surgery costs 700 shekels including tests.
My brother urgently needs the money today to schedule the surgery. Please, I can't live without my mother.
I beg you, she is my life.
I don't need food or anything else. I live on the street. The important thing is that my mother lives. Please, if I need to borrow money, if you know anyone who can lend it to me..."
That's all.
700 shekels is approximately $240.
Alaa needs this money today to save her mother.
I am currently overwhelmed with a heavy helplessness.
Until now, Alaa has had very few donors, and I have almost always been the one to contribute.
This time, too, if I could, I would have donated in her time of crisis.
However, a few days ago, my credit card was suspended.
My savings have run out because I have continued to donate amounts exceeding my financial means for several months.
It is shameful and inappropriate to say this here.
But I must confess that my heart is breaking right now.
I also have a mother whom I cherish. She is more important to me than my own life.
And yet, I feel powerless to do anything for Alaa!
Please, if you are able to donate, please do so.
Also, although this is not a very desirable solution, Alaa is considering taking out loans if she does not receive donations.
If anyone in Gaza knows of a trustworthy lender, please let them know.
As always, please note the following when donating to Alaa.
Donations made through her own donation page will not reach her because there is no one to manage it.

There's also frustration here.
Some of my followers on my Japanese account read my posts very seriously and even donate occasionally. That's very encouraging.
However, unfortunately, my influence is limited to that, and I feel I really need to do something about it.
That's why I started using Facebook, but even that doesn't seem to have a clear path forward.
However, my difficulties are probably not necessary due to my own abilities, but rather to the difficulties that donation activities generally face.

I'll quote directly from my conversation with
mahmoud 🇵🇸
[@mahmoodhamod991](https://mastodon.social/@mahmoodhamod991 )
just a moment ago.
--How about your condition? Is your pain still remaining?
The pain is constant, my brother; it comes and goes, but it comes more often than it goes away.
--Oh, that’s bad. You said you have been sleepless. Because of pain or anxiety?
Anxiety and pain are the same thing
My friend was killed two days ago and I am very sad
Every day we worry about losing people we love, and this is what causes us pain.
--Oh, what can I say? I’m sorry for your friend.
This is what was written, my brother. If you could do something, you would have, but this is fate.
-- Did your friend die still young?
Yes, he was martyred two days ago by a reconnaissance missile.
He is 25 years old, married a year ago, and has a daughter who was born approximately two months ago.
(That's all.)
(I'm just trembling with anger and sadness.)
(I have nothing to say but "help Mahmoud! Lighten his pain!")

He is transfering money to Alaa out of his own goodwill, without expecting anything in return.
Therefore, the amount displayed on the donation page and in the GazaVerified database does not match the amount he is actually receiving.
In fact, Bilal is currently in dire need. He is helping his friend in this situation.
He is a man of few words, but a man of action.
Please help Bilal.

[Machine translation from Arabic]
Hello, it's raining heavily tonight. We don't know where to go. We're practically sleeping in the street, soaked by the rain and mud. Please help us. 🙏
I beg you, I urgently need to buy a tent. Heavy rains and floods have started. Save us!
https://mastodon.social/@AlaaGaza2026/117375235631037935
And the following is the personal messages I received from Alaa:
(The original texts are Arabic)
"Good morning. Heavy rain tonight. We're flooded in the street. There's nowhere to take shelter. Please, brother, help me. I urgently need a tent.
Please, brother, tell your friends. Share my plight. I urgently need a tent. We're flooded from the heavy rains tonight. Our clothes and everything we own are soaked. Please share my plight with your friends and acquaintances. I urgently need $500. I beg you, help me! We haven't eaten for two days. Our daily lives are difficult. I constantly pray that my children and I will die. I've lost all hope."
Her appeal is urgent.
And she currently has no other option but to appeal to me.
However, my own financial resources are currently extremely limited. so I can't do anything now. I'm very frustrated about that.
Please, if possible, donate to Alaa.
Her campaign page is currently unavailable, and

is sending her money through his donation page. For more details, please see Alaa's pinned post.

Salem and Haneen are in danger. Haneen is pregnant. I can't help but pray for their safety.

Layan🍉ayoub🇵🇸
[@Layan2002](https://mastodon.social/@Layan2002 )

You are right.
The enemies of the people of Gaza are not only Israel, but also shopkeepers, landlords, and militias.
When Alaa called me, we couldn't communicate at all because she was speaking Arabic, but I could still tell she was in a desperate situation. And there was a constant sound of a drone flying in the background. I knew I couldn't abandon her.
Fortunately, just a little while ago, a friend of mine in Japan made a donation. This kind of solidarity really encourages me.

Vol.7
https://mondoweiss.net/2026/09/the-new-school-year-in-gaza-begins-in-tents/

https://chuffed.org/project/177144-from-rubble-to-hope-a-familys-daring-survival
https://chuffed.org/project/190160-please-help-dalia-her-children-escape-this-genocide

About the post above, I asked
mahmoud 🇵🇸
[@mahmoodhamod991](https://mastodon.social/@mahmoodhamod991 )
some questions.
Here's his answer:
"War profiteers benefit from the continuation of conflicts to achieve financial and political gains. Therefore, their slogans about peace and their diplomatic pronouncements about "ceasefires" are often nothing more than a deceptive media facade concealing a desire to prolong the crisis.
The reality experienced daily in Gaza is the most glaring proof of this contradiction. Despite all the talk and official announcements of truces or cessations of operations, the killing machine continues to claim lives, registering martyrs and innocent victims amidst massive destruction and endless human suffering. This blatant contradiction between what is said in negotiating rooms and what is implemented on the ground confirms that those who profit from war do not truly want it to end, and that our ongoing suffering is living proof of the falsehood of these claims."
This is published with Mahmoud's permission.
It's worth reading.
And he is in a great difficulty.
He needs medical treatment on his injured finger that is caused by Israeli bombardment.
Also he was kicked out from his shelter and is looking for stable housing desperately.
If you can, please help Mahmoud.

Urgent Appeal!
Months have passed since
AlaaGaza2026
@npub1fuc…md8x
egistered with Gaza Verified, but she has received very little in donations.
She only posts in Arabic, and due to the poor internet connection, she cannot post very often. Furthermore, she has little experience with social media and doesn't know how to promote herself.
These factors are keeping her from receiving help.
Worse still, the administrator of her campaign page is currently unreachable, so we cannot transfer the donated money to her.
Currently, with the help of a Gazan resident, I am making small donations to her through their campaign page.
Alaa is currently unable to pay her tent rent and is on the verge of being evicted (she may have already been evicted).
https://mastodon.social/@AlaaGaza2026/117173799526616174
I cannot stand idly by and have decided to raise the $200 she needs by September 1st.
However, bearing this burden alone is quite difficult given my financial resources. It's not impossible, but it's clearly not sustainable.
Therefore, I ask for your help. If you are able to help in any way, please send me a DM by August 31st. I will explain how to send money to Alaa and make the necessary arrangements.
I will donate the remaining amount on September 1st, bringing the total to $200.
Again, this is a last resort.
Your kindness and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

He's rebuilding his badly destroyed tent.
For the past few months, he's been desperately appealing for donations for his pregnant wife, Haneen, and their unborn child. For a while, there was no response, and he was on the verge of despair. But recently, kind people have donated to him, allowing him to begin rebuilding his tent. Watch the video. He's now full of hope, facing his broken tent head-on. Keep his flame of hope burning. He needs $111 more.

Hello, mona.
I have a few suggestions.
You'd better not leave your account icon blank.
It may seem like a small detail, but it's important for making your presence known.
Also, before a fundraiser is found, you'd better make as many posts as possible now, letting people know your situation.
This will increase your chances of finding a benefactor.
Frankly speaking, it is rather difficult to find a fundraiser immediately.
But I will continue to support you by spreading your posts.
Please hang in there.

Mahmoud was forced out of his shelter by Israeli attacks and has been moving from one acquaintance's house to another with his father and sister. The stress of not having a stable home is deeply tormenting Mahmoud. Yesterday, he said he would sell his cell phone to support his family, and I desperately tried to stop him. Many people in Gaza are in a similar predicament, and many have actually sold their phones out of necessity, resulting in them becoming completely unreachable. At that point, there is no way for us to help them. We must do everything we can to help them.

Mohammed_gaza_m
[@mohammed_gaza_m1](https://mastodon.social/@mohammed_gaza_m1 )
is 15 years old.
https://mastodon.social/@mohammed_gaza_m1/117033040066502334
The following is form his campaign page:
❤️ Mohamed's mother suffers from a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing medication and regular medical follow-up. Unfortunately, the family cannot afford the treatment she needs, causing constant concern about her health and well-being.
👨‍🦯 His father lives with a serious visual impairment that prevents him from working or moving independently. The inability to provide for his family has been emotionally devastating for him, while the family's financial difficulties continue to grow.
🍼 Mohamed's baby sister requires infant formula, nutrition, and constant care. Like many young children living under difficult conditions, she is especially vulnerable to the effects of food shortages and poor living conditions.
🥺 His younger brother is suffering from severe malnutrition as well as painful skin allergies and recurring infections. The lack of proper nutrition, healthcare, and medication has worsened his condition and affected his quality of life.
👓 Another brother faces multiple health challenges, including delayed growth, severe visual impairment, and astigmatism. He urgently needs medical evaluation and prescription eyeglasses that could significantly improve his ability to function and learn.
Despite all of these challenges, Mohamed continues to fight every day for his family.

Hilal is one of those registered with Gaza Verified who receives very few donations.
I have seen many people like her, who make desperate appeals but do not receive the necessary help, leave this platform in disappointment.
I don't want Hilal to become one of them.
On the other hand, I know that many donors are already at their financial limits.
I have a suggestion.
If you see a desperate appeal and cannot donate immediately, please don't just boost the post, but reply with your own words.
Those who get little are not only financially struggling, but also deeply isolated.
Also, by reaching out to people in Gaza and creating conversations, you may reach more people, deepen their understanding of Palestinian needs, and potentially attract more donations.
The important thing is that here is not a place for charity, but a place for solidarity.
Let's do not leave everyone of the people of Gaza alone.

Conversation with Hilal
https://toot.blue/@tsbasatoru/117014512952321905
Hilal
@npub1gur…ejs3
Passing by Gaza’s Old Church, I recall 600 Muslims and Christians seeking refuge together. We shared the floor and scarce food during starvation, seeking safety. Yet, even this sanctuary was struck without warning, killing and wounding those inside. Today, I don’t just see a church, but a place that embraced hundreds before tragedy struck.
Satoru Hasegawa
@npub1jw6…hk66
Your words are truly beautiful and tragic. They should be read by many people.
Hilal
I am tired, my friend. No one feels our pain, as if I am from another planet... I am exhausted from the injustice of people and their indifference. If they only knew what my family is going through, they would all rush to save us... We are drowning alone. 💔😞
Satoru
I know you have very good reasons to feel hopeless.
But if you keep raising your voice without giving up, it will surely reach someone.
Of course, you're probably exhausted and don't have the energy for it.
But words like the ones in your post today have the power to draw people in.
Please don't give up.
I'll do what I can too.
Hilal
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and encouragement... You are one of the people because of whom I am still here today. I wish the world could see me the way it sees others and feel what we are going through.... Praise be to God in all circumstances. 💔💔💔
Satoru
I believe that day will come.
This is not irresponsible consolation.
Because the world should be that way.
I understand you are in great difficulty, but please hang in there. And keep letting us know your needs.
🫂🫂🫂
Hilal
The moment that broke me and still hurts me the most was when I reached out privately to a donor here and explained my situation. It was the first and only time I ever asked someone directly for help.
He replied that he had already chosen a limited number of people to support regularly, but that he was still donating to both new and old cases.
Before the war, we lived with dignity and stability, almost like kings.Today, we are just struggling to hold on to what remains of our humanity
Satoru
Please forgive me for being a little speculative.
Since I began interacting with the people of Gaza last year, I've learned one thing.
That is, asking for help requires more courage than giving, and is even a noble act.
Humans, whether they have power, fame, or wealth or not, are fundamentally powerless beings.
To know that powerlessness, and yet still ask for help for those you love—this is something only a true human being can do. Animals cannot do it, nor can arrogant people.
You are truly great for seeking help for your family, even while feeling humiliated. You are sacrificing yourself.
I'm not performing an act of charity for you in Gaza; I'm serving you with awe.
Does that sound like I'm saying something foolish?
But this is how I truly feel.
Hilal
We in Gaza are in an exceptional situation... We were forced to ask for help because of the world's injustice toward us. How many countries have taken part in destroying our homes, our belongings, and our lives? How many years have the siege, killing, and oppression continued?
Simply helping us with basic things is a humanitarian and moral duty, and a message rejecting the injustice we have suffered from their governments that also participated in our destruction. 💔🇵🇸

Quote from a long Conversation:
Simon Brooke
[@simon_brooke](https://mastodon.scot/@simon_brooke )
Could someone from inside #Gaza tell us whether #Gaza Soup Kitchen are actually managing to deliver food?
I know that World Central Kitchen have had to shut down a lot of their operations.

UNRWA keeps operating within Gaza despite supplies and international staff being blocked from entering.
This is why I am extremely sceptical about any other organisations and projects being able to deliver.
Furthermore, UNRWA operates in Palestine camps and settlements in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan and maintains the genealogical information that would be super important in case of return being enabled.
mahmoud 🇵🇸
@npub1dl3…2v7n
With all due respect to your role and perspective, the picture you're conveying regarding UNRWA's continued operation doesn't reflect our current reality in the Gaza Strip. The harsh truth is that UNRWA has been isolated and its operations almost entirely undermined in the Strip, and it's no longer able to provide the essential services upon which people's lives depended.
...
To rely on the notion that international organizations are fulfilling their role while we here face death from starvation or lack of medical treatment ignores the harsh reality on the ground. UNRWA abroad may have administrative roles, but here in Gaza, the organization is completely paralyzed in its distribution and access efforts. .

@npub1tkl…pdwu
How does food get in and get distributed on the ground? Is there any land left for growing (the only images we see are of rubble)? While we know Israel are limiting what gets in, it’s hard for us to know what is really happening as you are our only real sources of information.
mahmoud 🇵🇸
@npub1dl3…2v7n
The situation on the ground is one of complete paralysis. The aid that enters covers only a tiny fraction of the basic needs, and Israeli restrictions are not merely a ban on the entry of specific materials, but rather a total control over the lifelines (fuel, roads, and electricity).
As for agriculture, it has been reduced from a vital sector to virtually nonexistent; farmland has been bulldozed or contaminated, and anyone who ventures into
...
farming faces the risk of being directly targeted All we see in the pictures is rubble, because agriculture itself is buried under the rubble. We have lost the soil, the water, and the tools that once made Gaza self-sufficient in certain crops. The truth is that Gaza has transformed from a productive society into one that survives on handouts, delivered by trucks with no guarantee that they will reach the mouths of the hungry.
Simon Brooke
[@simon_brooke](https://mastodon.scot/@simon_brooke )
I think also that most of Gaza's agricultural land was in the east, and is now behind the 'yellow line'?
mahmoud 🇵🇸
@npub1dl3…2v7n
What you said about the agricultural lands is absolutely accurate; the majority of our food supply used to come from the east, the areas that are now behind what is called the 'yellow line' or buffer zones, where the land is razed and access is prohibited. I personally used to live in eastern Gaza, and now, like thousands of others, I am displaced, far from my home and our land that was a source of prosperity.
Simon Brooke
[@simon_brooke](https://mastodon.scot/@simon_brooke )
yes, my friend Rania used to farm in the east, too. What was her home is now lost behind the lines, the blocks, and the tanks.
mahmoud 🇵🇸
@npub1dl3…2v7n
Your friend Rania's story is the story of thousands of us. It's never easy to learn that the place where you spent your best days, the land you cultivated with your own hands, is now behind a wall, a tank, or a pile of rubble; as if history and geography have been completely erased. This kind of loss leaves a scar that never heals, because we don't just weep for walls, but for a life that once thrived in those places.
...
Sometimes I feel that in Gaza we have all become mere "stories" that no longer find their place on the map, people simply trying to find a safe place to sleep or a sip of water, having lost everything that connects us to our agricultural and social identity. For this very reason, the initiatives I mentioned earlier, which attempt to reach these "displaced" people who have lost their land and livelihoods, always seem to me like an attempt to salvage what remains of our dignity amidst this devastation.
Alda Vigdís
@npub1eqw…v8ju
Destroying the environment is a part of the genocide. Oral and literary tradition would have a really hard time existing if the localities, environments and structures stop existing.
mahmoud 🇵🇸
@npub1dl3…2v7n
The annihilation here is not merely physical; it is an attempt to sever our roots. When place disappears, it becomes difficult for future generations to imagine or recall their history, because place is what gives history its meaning. We live in constant fear, not only of losing ourselves, but also of everything we believe in and everything we have inherited from our ancestors becoming nothing more than an empty void, with no place on the map.
