Keep up the good work - I just watched your back history of vlogs and also this article.
I would add that with the Bitcoin ETFs like FBTC or IBIT, it’s possible for some people to get the 401k employer match plus the growth rate of Bitcoin. It depends on whether their 401k allows them to invest in those ETFs. So they could potentially do the 6%+employer 3% in ETFs plus the 4% in self-custody Bitcoin.
Another thing worth mentioning is the tax benefits that are currently possible via using a Roth IRA or Roth 401k to invest in those ETFs.
These are worth consideration IMO.
I’m not a fan of the BTC with a Custodian retirement accounts like Swan IRA because they’ve had problems with custodians in the past and the mainstream normie ETFs are hopefully less risk than that.
Also - I wouldn’t recommend that anyone puts 100% of their investments in Bitcoin. The recent sha256 BTC vs. blake2b XBT split, Coldcard hack, Liquid, and Lightning hacks (that were after you wrote this) have shaken my long term confidence in Bitcoin because BTC is obviously too centralized and XBT might not succeed, plus secure long term self-custody is harder than any of us really expected.
Diversification is also important for the average person to mitigate the risks of the unknown. Few people can really tolerate the volatility and risk of putting all their wealth in a single basket.
I bought copies of “the simple path to wealth” for my kids to read (because it’s a good book for normies even though it’s all about DCA into the S&P 500) then said bonds are broken these days so learn about bitcoin and add some of that into the mix.
Just my 2 sats worth.

I don’t follow NZ politics so no idea how much it differs to Australia.

Rural NZ seems quite nice, but not as much opportunity to earn money as WA.

Two things can be true at the same time.
