Moses Izumi (he/him)

https://fe.disroot.org/users/moses_izumi

My mind is a haze of swedish punk rock, fantasies about musclegirls, unhinged wordplay and strong opinions on portable electronics; along with slightly less stubborn views on software.

Figurative son of Noah Izumi (Public Universal Friend masking as a TV cop) and Sanctus Grobianus (patron saint of crudeness).

Honestly believe that if the Firefox OS team built their project around keyboard phones (maybe even added a website creation tool), it probably would've found some success.
There's only so much you can gain from putting a libertine operating system on a bunch of iPhone clones.

Writes Web 1.0 sites better than you (they're super raw, but some people like it that way).
Has occasionally dabbled in gameplay mods for ZDoom (Doom is a very well-tuned game, so it can be hard to add stuff without having to rebalance every enemy).

On those notes, here's my website:

Profile picture is Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell drinking a can of beer that's almost as big as she is.
(real men aren't ashamed of putting girls as their profile pictures)

The banner is a collage I did of Noah Izumi from Moblie Police Patlabor.

In the manga she defused a labor riot through dialogue, and I can easily picture the way she humanizes her exoskeleton dovetailing into concern about planned obsolescence.
Especially since both the manga and anime have plotlines about newer models being worse in certain ways, in a refreshing contrast to many other mecha anime.

She also had to prevent an infected OS update from flattening Tokyo, in a movie that came out decades before the xz-utils incident.

As of 27 April 2026 I only boost posts that I've replied to.
I don't wish to have a profile full of reposts, but I still see the value in signal-boosting the work of others.

May ignore this when boosting questions and warnings/PSAs.
